Table variety. It begins to bear fruit in the 3rd year. Bears fruit on fruit twigs. The variety is self-sterile. Pollinators are varieties of Chinese and Russian plums, which also bloom in the early stages (for example, Skoroplodnaya). Relatively resistant to clasterosporia and maniliosis, leaves and young shoots are often affected by early ripening, from new and promising varieties of plums that have passed the test. The winter hardiness of the bark is high.

Venus— origin: Narach and Wangenheim. A variety selected by the Republican Unitary Enterprise "Institute of Fruit Growing" with a medium-late ripening period, high-yielding, self-fertile, bears fruit well in single-varietal plantings, the winter hardiness of the trees is good, but due to the weak winter hardiness of the flower buds it does not bear fruit after harsh winters. The tree is medium-sized, the crown is spreading, of medium density. The fruits are large, over 30 g, round, flattened at the poles. The skin is dense, dark red, with a purple tint and numerous subcutaneous spots, covered with a strong waxy coating. The pulp is bright yellow, dense, gristly. The taste is sweet and pleasant. The juice is colorless. The taste is sweet and sour. The stone separates from the pulp well, medium, oval, with a pointed tip and base, in pits. Taste rating: 4.5 points. Appearance of fruits – 4.8 points. The main purpose of the variety is dessert. It can also be used for technical processing. The variety is almost self-fertile.

The best pollinators: Skorospelka red, Ternosliv Kuibyshevskaya, Mirnaya, Zhiguli. The fruit ripening period is early. Fruit harvesting dates are August 10-25. The calendar dates for fruit consumption are August 10 – September 5. Transportability of fruits is average. Trees begin to bear fruit at 4-5 years. Fruit yield at the age of 6-8 years is 8-10 kg, at the age of 9-12 years – 12-25 kg.

Fruiting is annual. The variety is high-yielding. The strength of fruit attachment is good, higher than that of the red ripening plant. The trees are winter-hardy. Does not suffer in dry years. Gum discharge is rarely observed. Fruits are also rarely affected by gray rot, mainly when they are damaged by cherry moths and plum moths. The incidence of the latter is weak - 0.5-1%. Propagated by grafting onto seedling rootstocks of Skorospelka red, Ternosliv Kuibyshevskaya, Hungarian Oktyabrskaya. Propagated well (up to 40%) by green cuttings. Requires well-protected and illuminated flat locations or light slopes.

Grows well on medium or light loamy chernozems, marly clay, and moderately moist areas. It responds to watering and fertilizers with a significant increase in yield and fruit quality. It can be formed according to a tiered or sparsely-tiered system, in a semi-standard or low-standard form. It tolerates pruning well. Advantages of the variety: high annual yield, early ripening, good winter hardiness, large sizes beautiful fruits with excellent taste. Disadvantages of the variety: large tree size, cracking of fruits in wet years.

Eurasia 21- a complex interspecific hybrid obtained from spontaneous hybridization of the diploid variety Lacrescent, bred in the USA by Professor Alderman. Selected from seedlings of the hexaploid group from free pollination (6x=48). Diploid species (2x=16) of East Asian, American plum, Simon plum, Chinese plum, cherry plum and domestic plum (6x=48) took part in the formation of the Eurasia 21 genotype. Originator – Voronezh State Agrarian University. Authors: A.N. Venyaminov, A.G. Turovtseva. Entered into the State Register in 1986 for the Central Black Earth region.

The winter hardiness of the tree, flower buds and root system is high. The roots of Eurasia 21 can withstand temperature drops in the root layer down to -20°C, while the roots of domestic plum seedlings can only withstand -8-10°C. The tree is large, with a spreading crown of a mosaic structure: fruit wood and the color of the bark of the branches, like American species plums The fruits are round, above average size (weight 25-30 g), burgundy in color, with a strong waxy coating, very attractive appearance. They ripen early.

The pulp is yellow-orange, juicy, sweet and sour, aromatic. The taste of the fruit is good. The stone is medium-sized, flattened, slightly separable from the pulp. Used for fresh consumption as an early ripening table variety. In technological processing it can be suitable for preparing very aromatic juice with pulp and jam.
The plant is self-sterile (the pollen is not viable). The best pollinators are varieties of domestic plums, the flowering periods of which approximately coincide with the flowering periods of Eurasia 21 (Record, Renklod Harvest, Mayak, Renklod Collective Farm, etc.). The tree begins to bear fruit 4-5 years after planting.

At favorable conditions pollination and fertilization, the yield is high. In the rainy and cold month of May, the setting rate is sharply reduced. Eurasia 21 is used not only as an early table variety, but also as a winter-hardy seed and partially clonal rootstock. The high acidity of the fruit and some looseness of the pulp do not allow the fruit to be used for making compotes.

Beauty TsGL— origin: Eurasia 21 x Volga beauty. Variety selected by VNIIGiSPR named after I.V. Michurin. Medium ripening period. The tree is medium-sized. The fruits are large, broadly round in shape. The abdominal suture is moderately pronounced. The outer color of the skin is purple with a thick waxy coating. The pulp is yellow, sweet and sour. The bone is well separated from the pulp. Purpose: dining. Biological features: High productivity. Precociousness is average.

Lodva— origin: Vetraz x Olympic. The variety is winter-hardy, early-fruiting, productive, self-sterile. The fruits are large (average weight - 36 g), round. The abdominal suture is deep. The main and top color of the skin is yellow. The stone is small and easily separated from the pulp. The pulp is yellow, tender, very juicy, with a caramel aroma. The taste is sweet and sour, the purpose is dessert. The best pollinators are the Mara variety and the Asaloda variety. The variety is resistant to clasterosporiosis. Consumption period: end of July – beginning of August.

Mara- variety of the Belarusian Research Institute of Fruit Growing, open-pollinated seedling (Pr. cerasifera x Pr. salicina var. ussuriensis). Authors: V.A. Matveev, M.P. Malyukevich, Z.A. Kozlovskaya, M.G. Maksimenko. Included in the State Register of Varieties and Tree and Shrub Species of the Republic of Belarus since 1999; to the State Register of Selection Achievements Russian Federation– in 2002. The tree is fast-growing, vigorous, with a round, spreading crown. The fruits are medium size (23 g), round in shape. The main color is bright yellow, the integumentary color is absent. A medium-sized stone fused with pulp. The pulp is yellow, loose, very juicy, with a pleasant sour-sweet taste, tasting score 4.0 points. Date of consumption: September.

Biological characteristics: It begins to bear fruit 2-3 years after planting in the garden on a seed rootstock. Self-sterile. The best pollinators: wild cherry plum, variety Vitba. Highly resistant to kleasterosporiosis. A late-ripening variety, productive (up to 35 t/ha with a planting pattern of 5 x 3 m on a cherry plum seed rootstock). Winter-hardy in almost all components.

Naroch— origin: selected from seedlings obtained from crossing the varieties Vengerka vulgaris and Renklod Altana. A tree of medium vigor, with a spherical dense crown. The fruits are medium-sized, round-oval, dark red, with a thick coating. The pulp is yellow, sweet, and easily separated from the stone. Biological characteristics Ripen in early September. The variety is winter-hardy, self-fertile.

Gift to St. Petersburgpopular variety of hybrid origin with the participation of Chinese plum Skoroplodnaya and plum Pioneer. The tree is weak or medium-sized with a wide-spreading, weeping, dense crown and a short trunk. It blooms and bears fruit on bouquet branches and on growth shoots. One bud produces 2-4 flowers.

The fruits weigh 12 g, elongated-ovoid, with a slightly pointed apex and a slightly noticeable ventral seam, bright, yellow-orange, with a delicate aroma. The skin is thin, elastic, with a slight waxy coating and light yellow subcutaneous dots. The pulp is bright yellow, juicy, fine-fiber, with a harmonious sweet and sour taste. The stone weighs 0.8 g, round-oval, smooth, with a pointed apex, makes up 5.5% of the weight of the fruit, and is difficult to separate from the pulp. A universal-purpose variety, the fruits have excellent dessert and canning properties.

Plants begin to bear fruit 3 years after grafting. Flowering occurs in the early stages, and ripening occurs in the mid-early period. The best pollinators are the cherry plum varieties Pavlovskaya Zheltaya and Pchelnikovskaya.

The variety is distinguished by regular fruiting, at the age of 10 years it produces an average of 27 kg per tree, with a maximum of 60 kg. The undoubted advantages of the variety, in addition to stable high yield, are good winter hardiness and excellent recovery ability of the vegetative part of the plant after mechanical damage. At significant differences air temperatures at the end of winter and in early spring flower buds freeze. IN natural conditions in epiphytotic years, moniliosis of fruits affects up to 2 points, cleasterosporia blight of leaves - up to 1 point, and damage by aphids and winter moths - 1 point. Disadvantages of the variety: with significant early spring temperature changes, flower buds are damaged, the variety is self-sterile, and the fruits may fall off when fully ripe.

Renklod early- ultra-early (!), high winter hardiness and drought resistance, early fruiting, self-sterile, high yield, universal. The tree is medium-sized, the crown is rounded. The fruits are large, 35 - 40 g, round, yellow skin, yellow flesh, dense, sweet and sour taste with a delicate aroma.

Originator – All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Selection fruit plants them. I. V. Michurina. The tree is taller than average with a rounded crown. The fruits are above average in size, oval-ovoid, reddish-violet, with a thick waxy coating, and ripen simultaneously. The pulp is greenish-yellow, dense, juicy, sour-sweet (4.3 points). The stone is oval, medium in size, easily separated from the pulp. The variety is early ripening, for tableware purposes. Flowering dates are mid-early. The winter hardiness of wood and flower buds is high. The tree is resistant to pests and diseases. Advantages: increased winter hardiness of wood and flower buds, early fruiting, high yield, attractive fruits, good taste.
