The soil should be loose, well-drained, slightly acidic. Gardeners have learned to adapt even poor soils: they add sand and pebbles for drainage, and apply fertilizers.

Caring for a rose involves regular watering and pruning. The plant should be pruned in the fall, and dry flowers should be removed during flowering.

Note! You need to fertilize the rose alternating organic matter and mineral fertilizers.

After autumn pruning, the bush is treated with an antifungal drug. Cover the plant only when the temperature outside is -5 C°. Despite the fact that the variety is winter-hardy, it needs to be wrapped in central Russia.

Shelter for the winter is carried out in dry weather. The stems are cleared of foliage and flowers, bent to the ground and fixed. Then they are covered with material that will not allow snow or rain to pass through.

How the group of varieties "Floribunda" appeared

In the huge genus of wild roses (rose hips) there are more than 400 various types. Well, it would seem, what are people missing? Why come up with anything else? But from century to century, painstaking work was carried out to develop new garden varieties of roses. There were more petals, their shape became more complex, the colors became brighter, and the aromas became richer.

There are two options for the appearance of this group of roses. According to the first, the first Floribunda was bred by Peter Lambert in 1880. The second option states that Floribunda was bred by the Danish breeder Poulsen in 1924. Agreement was reached on one issue; the group was developed by crossing polyanthus and tea roses.

Rose Rumba. Appearance

The variety "Rumba" is a typical representative of the family. Roses of this species have been decorating flower beds for more than 50 years. Rumba flowers are unique in their own way. During the flowering process they change their color. The center is painted bright yellow, and the edges of the petals change from fiery red to orange. The Rumba rose is named after the bright and sensual outfits of Latin American dancers. The flowers are as lush as they say - double, they consist of 30-40 petals. The variety is distinguished by abundant and rich flowering throughout the summer.

How else can you tell that this is the beautiful rose Rumba? The description of the plant can be continued as follows: the bush is relatively low (maximum 60-70 cm), with a large number of inflorescences. One plant can have from 5 to 20 flowers. Flowers must be cut off gradually, because after drying they do not fall off on their own. The clusters of inflorescences gradually change shade, and the leaves remain dark green and shiny. It looks like the sheet is covered with wax.

Characteristic feature

Rose Rumba is different from others garden roses absence of thorns. This is very convenient when growing along paths, since the bush does not scratch or leave snags on clothing.

The variety is not susceptible to fungal diseases and is not afraid of frost. The bushes do not suffer from overwatering or large amounts of rainfall. The plant easily tolerates poor soils, but requires a lot of sunlight.

Proper planting

The landing site should be well lit, but not exposed to winds. Before disembarking root system The seedlings are immersed in water and only after that they are buried in the ground. Planting time is April-May. The distance between neighboring bushes is at least 30 cm. After planting, the seedling is hilled up. You cannot add bird droppings or any type of manure when planting; the plant may die.

It is advisable to choose slightly acidic loose soil, this creates optimal conditions for the growth and development of floribunda. Despite the need for regular watering, areas with high level It is not worth choosing groundwater for Rumba, so that the root system does not rot.

The main thing in caring for flowers is correct pruning. The stem is cut 5 cm above the developed bud at an angle of 45°. Garden pruning shears must be sharp so that cracks do not appear on the cut. Before trimming the entire garden tools disinfected so as not to transfer pathogens from other species to the plant. Pruning is carried out towards the end of October. The pruned Rumba rose is treated with antifungal chemicals.

For wintering, rose bushes are wrapped, despite the fact that the variety is considered frost-resistant.

      Care, planting and growing roses, description of varieties

      Description of the climbing rose “Rumba Climbing” with reviews and care

      climbing rose"Rumba"- this is a modified “version” of a rose from the floribunda group of the same name.

    • Official name in the registry – "Rumba Climbing" which indicates that they belong to the climbing group, varieties of roses with long shoots (Read also the article? Varieties of roses from the climbing group: description and features).
    • Year creation - 1972.
    • Choosing a place for a rose, planting features. Care in spring, summer, autumn

      The variety "Rumba Climbing" is distinguished by its extraordinary ability to change the color of its petals from yellow to bright scarlet.

      The rose “Rumba Climbing” exactly repeats the properties of the variety of the same name from the floribunda group, on the basis of which it was bred.

      A climbing hybrid needs:

      • V good lighting. Due to lack of light, the flowering color loses its brightness.
      • protected from wind and draft. In a draft, roses are weakened and therefore become susceptible to disease.
      • in loose, rich soil. It is important to take care of soil aeration and fertility in advance, before planting the plant. It is ideal when the soil in the planting pit is prepared in the fall, and planting work is carried out in the spring.
      • For the variety "Rumba Climbing" you need a plant mixture of this composition

        To provide plants nutrients, humus is added to the soil (Read also the article? Using humus for roses). Mullein is more suitable than others.

        Tip #1. It is not always possible to purchase organic fertilizer. But, any gardener always has the opportunity to prepare compost from plant residues and food waste.

        Note! The transformation of raw materials into humus naturally takes at least six months. And with the use of EM drugs (effective microorganisms), biochemical processes are accelerated several times. Namely, from the moment the plant residues are placed in the compost until the useful fertilizer is obtained, one and a half, two months pass. But there is an important circumstance: effective microorganisms are living culture, which actively develops at positive temperatures from + 12 0. This means that applying them better in spring, summer and early autumn. EM preparations are applied no later than two weeks before planting along with organic fertilizers.

        Effective preparations are used for all plants, not only during planting, but during further care.

        Caring for the Rumba Climbing variety is no different from other climbing roses. After establishment, the bushes require:

        When irrigating, each young bush will need at least 10 liters of water for a single watering. An adult bush needs 20 liters. It is better to water less often, but more abundantly. In hot weather, the intervals between irrigations are reduced.

        If the rose is planted in fertile soil, then fertilizing will not be needed in the next two or three years. In the future, it is necessary to decide on the technology of care. If the choice is made in favor of EM drugs, then mineral fertilizers will have to be abandoned. They are not compatible with effective microorganisms. You can only use organic substances - humus, compost and ash. They are applied twice a year, in the spring after the snow melts, and in the fall before covering the roses for the winter.

        Frost protection will be needed in cold regions, starting from zone four. In autumn, after harvesting fallen leaves, bushes:

      • Treated with prophylactic agents,
      • Remove from support and place on separating material,
      • A frame is installed on which the covering material is placed. It can be traditional spruce branches, burlap, polyethylene film or spunbond (Read also the article: 7 best covering materials for roses).
      • In this form, the rose overwinters until the spring thaw.

        Exchange of experiences of gardeners from different regions on growing the climbing rose “Rumba”

    1. Kristina Vladimirovna, (Krasnoyarsk, second zone).
    2. The rose appeared in my garden by accident, due to a mismatch. It was not possible to drop off immediately after the purchase. She stood in the pot for some time and actively grew shoots. After planting, she became ill and had to be trimmed a little. But the very first one bloomed, although it stopped growing in height. The first flowers were small and not very double; when they opened, they showed their middle. Over time, the situation changed, the buds gained density and stopped looking sloppy. I noticed that the flowers can withstand heat and rain.

      1. Elena Karlovna (Leningrad region, fourth zone).

      In the first year, after the rose was planted, I cut off all the buds, as stated in the instructions for the variety. Over the summer, the branches grew more than a meter. Laying them down for shelter for the winter was not difficult. The rose overwintered well. Next year there were 3 - 5 flowers on each stem. The color changed as stated in the description, first the lower petals on the yellow buds turned red, then the rose changed color completely. This is the most beautiful variety in my garden.

    3. Maria Ivanovna (Krasnodar region, zone 6).
    4. Something went wrong with my rose from the very beginning. Instead of beautiful double flowers, simple pale buds bloomed. At first I thought there was a mistake. The packaging featured a bright yellow and red rose. Having contacted summer residents on the forum, I found out that they were the only ones with such a problem. Roses purchased at different retail outlets turned out to have the same shortcomings. The manufacturer probably made an error. It is impossible to foresee this, as well as to correct it. Therefore, I had to say goodbye to the rose. I removed it from the garden.

      If we are talking about the color of a rose, then a clear alternative is the mother variety from the group floribunda under the same name “Rumba”. It differs from the climbing plant in size, its height is 40 - 60 cm. The color of the flowers is red at the edges, and yellowing towards the center of the bud. The flowers are not large - 4 - 6 cm, collected in umbrella inflorescences. The variety is resistant to disease and frost. Used in group plantings and as low border hedges.

      Question No. 2. What to plant next to Rumba Climbing?

      Plants with white and yellow flowering colors are appropriate as neighbors. Suitable for decorative foliage herbaceous perennials with silver color.

      A win-win option is coniferous plants.

      Advice from a specialist on planting the Rumba Climbing variety.

      To grow the Rumba Climbing variety, you need a sunny and not too windy place, fertile, not waterlogged soil. On very dry soils it is better to use drip irrigation. When watering by hand, it is better to irrigate rarely, but abundantly, at least 20 l/m2. The variety is planted in spring or autumn. Immediately after planting, watering and hilling are carried out; the height of the earthen cone is 15 - 20 cm. The bush is pruned as necessary, removing old, dry and broken shoots. For decorative effect and longer flowering, you need to remove faded and faded flowers in a timely manner. In garden plots, the Rumba Claiming variety looks especially good in tree and shrub groups with coniferous plants.

      (!) Cut flowers stand well in bouquets.

Watering, mulching the soil in a timely manner and inspecting for lesions is the main task of the gardener.

      An important place in caring for a rose is played by pruning of the plant - the main pruning occurs in the spring, the branches are pruned by 10-15 cm, the crown of the bush is formed, summer pruning of faded inflorescences prolongs flowering and provokes the release of new buds, and autumn pruning is undesirable, since it can weaken the plant before the cold weather. Weak bushes are pruned especially carefully.

      Preparing roses for winter

      For the winter, it is advisable to cover the queen of the garden with spruce branches, sawdust, leaves or synthetic materials - agrotex, spanboard, lutrasil, and in warm regions it is enough to cover the bushes with a pile of first snow. The indicator is the branches of the plant - the red color indicates that the branch is in the growth stage and is not planning to become woody. Such a branch cannot be left uncovered for the winter, it will simply freeze, and if such a specimen is found in the rose garden, it is better to pinch the plant in September so that the shoot stops its growth and has time to become woody by winter.

      Floribunda roses: varieties and names, description and care

      Roses are found in almost every garden. Their world is huge and diverse, and the Floribunda rose is one of 30,000 known on Earth. What kind of flower is this? How to provide him with decent care? What to please for good growth and flowering? Let's see together what Floribunda roses look like in the photo and list the names of the varieties.

      The description should begin with a mention that during the growing process, proper planting and subsequent care depend on the chosen variety. Look at them in the photos with names, and you can choose the right collection for your garden:

      A simple classification used by amateurs

      Today, there is no other species with such a variety of forms as roses. ornamental plant. Dwarf bushes are raised 10 cm above the ground, giant bushes rise 10 m, inflorescences contain from 3 to 300 flowers. There are petal shapes: flat, recurved (like Floribunda), with jagged or wavy edges. Modern experts count more than 25 types of aroma.

      It is very difficult to classify roses. Without experience, it's easy to get confused. Following the simple classification method of the American Rose Society, flowers are divided not by origin, but by stable biological and decorative features. This makes it easier to understand the principles of placing groups in gardens and adding new groups. This simple classification, used by lovers of the process of breeding pink flowers, will help to get a general idea.

      Roses can be distinguished:

    6. wild - these are botanical species from which unpretentious varieties and hybrids are obtained that bloom once and for a short time;
    7. old garden ones - once-blooming Alba, Boursalt, Damascus, Chinese hybrids, etc., which existed before 1867, in which Hybrid Tea appeared;
    8. modern garden ones - Hybrid Tea, Grandiflora, Miniflora, Cordes roses, Musk and Moyesy hybrids, Polyanthas, Large-flowered climbing roses, and Floribunda roses, the description of which defines them as flower beds.
    9. A simple classification of climbing roses was invented in Great Britain. There are only 5 groups: small-flowered, large-flowered (with 1 or several flowers in inflorescences), racemes (like Floribunda), wild roses and their “relatives,” as well as miniature roses.

      What does a Floribunda rose look like? Let's look at the photo

      Abundantly blooming rose Floribunda will turn a photo of any front garden into a masterpiece. Some believe that she is somewhat inferior to representatives of the elegant Hybrid Teas. However, in terms of the number of flowers produced, hybrid teas lag behind the leader. Gardeners have been arguing about the size, aroma and beauty of petals for many years.

      The spiky beauty has undeniable advantages. The first is racemose inflorescences of bright colors with several flowers open at the same time. Their rainbow colors are amazing. There is a shade of cream and orange, the color varies from snowy white to dark red. The variegated world is amazing, because some plants change color as they bloom. In landscaping, roses are used to form bright picturesque spots and serve as a means of decorating flower beds. They are easy to care for. Look at what Floribunda roses look like in the photo; among the varieties presented there are real masterpieces:

      The second advantage is the ability to bloom not in separate “waves”, but virtually without interruption - from summer to autumn and even until the first frost. The third advantage is that it is more than a hybrid tea, a compact bush, a significant number of shoots and abundant foliage. Fourth, they are less susceptible to diseases (fungal diseases).

      Gardeners have the opportunity to grow a plant as a bush or standard tree. Pets are hardy and feel good in middle lane Russia.

      Servants of Queen Floribunda – patio group

      The Floribunda bush has a height of 30 to 130 cm. At the same time low-growing varieties(up to 50 cm) in the 80s of the XX century were “transferred” to the patio group. These are the real servants of the recognized queen in the flower kingdom.

      Varieties of roses with a height of 45-55 cm have existed for a long time, but were isolated from the Floribunda group relatively recently. The most popular of them: Meteor, Marlena, Tip-Top (salmon pink), Baby Bio, Sweet Magic (orange), Sweet Dream (peach), Hakuun (cream white).

      They stand apart because small sizes, but cannot, either in the size of the leaves, or in the flowers or shoots, equal the representatives of the miniature group. The low patio bushes are quite dense. Flowers collected in inflorescences show abundant bloom.

      The Tip-Top variety is good for edging ridges and paths; it is grown in containers and small flower beds. Pots, edges of flower beds, and borders are suitable for Magic. Sweet Dream is a potted plant that, however, looks great as a low hedge. The place of the Hakkuun rose is miniature gardens.

      How Floribunda was born - wild roses and cultivated varieties Iceberg and White

      There are about 400 wild species (rose hips) in the rose genus. For centuries people have sought to obtain new garden varieties. As a result, petals folded in a new way, leaves formed, colors and aromas became richer. The answer to the question of how Floribunda was born is very simple - it is one of the artificially bred roses.

      In the group Floribunda cultivated roses Iceberg and White varieties are like brides. Thus, the Iceberg Floribunda rose is distinguished by double, medium-sized, white flowers with a delicate aroma. A straight bush up to 1 m high blooms profusely and continuously. In cool autumn, the color of the petals changes to a soft pinkish color. Shiny light green leaves harmonize with them. The plant is used for single planting on lawns, for boles, ridges, and borders. Botanists note its stability.

      Rose White blossoms abundantly, continuously and for a long time. Its 70-centimeter bushes bear large (up to 30 flowers) inflorescences. The leaves are small, leathery, shiny, dark green. The double, deep pink flowers are 6-7 cm in size and are only slightly fragrant. Roses are winter-hardy and are used for cutting, trunks, groups, containers, and borders.

      Varieties "Leonardo da Vinci" and "Mercedes" - hot pink and garnet red

      The winter-hardy variety “Leonardo da Vinci” is distinguished by abundant, long-lasting flowering. Its average 7-8 cm flowers are bright pink, bloom profusely and delight gardeners for a long time. They are slightly fragrant, densely double, collected in small inflorescences or solitary. Dense bushes reach a height of 70 cm-110 cm. There are many leaves. This variety is used for standard crops, borders, and groups.

      "Mercedes" are double, single flowers of garnet-red color and beautiful shape. They do not fade in the sun and have a faint aroma. The compact, 80 cm tall bush bears shoots with a small number of thorns and bright green shiny leaves. The difference between the buds is that they bloom very slowly. The plant is resistant to fungal diseases and recommended for forcing.

      Variety "Masquerade" and rose "Rumba Floribunda" - solar chameleons

      The color-changing rose "Rumba Floribunda" has double flowers with a diameter of no more than 5 cm. During flowering, solar chameleons are able to change color. At first the shade is poppy red, and the center is yellow. At the end of flowering, the shade transforms into carmine red. The inflorescences may contain 5 roses, or maybe 20. They bloom profusely, located on compact, dense, medium-sized bushes. The plant has beautiful leathery shiny dark green leaves. This is one of the most resistant varieties, which is used for group plantings.

      The name of the rose “Masquerade” announces its qualities. They change the color of their petals in a cycle of bright yellow – salmon pink – dark red. Semi-double flowers are of medium size and are collected in inflorescences of 15-30 pieces. Due to the change in shades, several colors are collected in one inflorescence. Tall, straight bushes with leathery dark green leaves and variegated petals are suitable for planting in groups.

      Rose “Nina Weibul Floribunda” and “Tornado” – dark and fiery red flowers

      The dark red rose "Nina Weibull Floribunda" grows in inflorescences (10-35 flowers each) on tall bushes. The flowers are small and their aroma is weak. The leaves are also small and shiny dark green. The purpose of the rose “Nina Weibul” is group plantings.

      Medium round terry weakly scented roses “Tornado” have a fiery red color. Their inflorescences contain 5-8 roses. They bloom profusely and for a long time. On spreading low bushes shoots with leathery shiny bright green leaves are visible. This resistant variety is good for ridges and flower beds.

      Rose Floribunda "Freesia" and "Chinatown" - a golden yellow world

      The golden-yellow Rose Floribunda "Freesia" is distinguished by large double flowers and a pleasant aroma. The golden yellow world does not fade in the sun and has a beautiful shape. They are collected in inflorescences or solitary and delight continuously throughout the season. Straight bushes look compact and strong. Slightly wrinkled, leathery, shiny leaves have a dark green color. The plant is disease resistant and is used for group plantings.

      The double 10-centimeter fragrant flowers of the Chinatown rose are distinguished by their shape, high in the center, and abundant fragrance. Inflorescences with three to six golden-yellow flowers with pink edges are placed on strong long peduncles. This variety has slightly wrinkled, leathery, large leaves that cover the dense, upright bushes with a dark green “dress.” The height of the bushes is 90 cm - 110 cm. They are winter-hardy and resistant to various diseases. The Chinatown variety is suitable for both single plantings and groups.

      Variety "Montana" and "Europeana" - blood-red and dark red flowers

      Blood-red double flowers of the Montana rose are collected in large inflorescences. They are small, but emit a specific aroma. The bushes grow up to 1 m, keeping upright. They bear medium-sized, green, shiny, leathery leaves. The flower is suitable for groups and discounts.

      The weakly fragrant inflorescences of "Europeana" have a dark red hue. Flowers are grouped in groups of 15-20 pieces. They look very double and have a rosette shape. Throughout the season, roses bloom continuously and profusely. The shiny large leaves have dark color and bronze tint. Perhaps the only drawback of this variety is its susceptibility to powdery mildew. Bushes are used for trunks and groups.

      Planting flowers of the Floribunda group using the example of the Bonica Floribunda rose

      We are faced with the question of planting a Floribunda rose, we will take the following steps:

    10. choose a place protected from northern winds, illuminated by the sun in the first half of the day, where it does not stagnate rainwater, A groundwater are located 1.5 m below;
    11. Let's prepare soil rich in humus, fertile, well-drained, loose, with a pH of 6.4 to 7.5. IN clay soil add sand, add humus to the sandy one. For grafted roses, the depth of the nutrient “layer” of soil is 70 cm;
    12. we purchase young (2 or 3 year old) seedlings with well-developed roots from a nursery or company store;
    13. The Bonica Floribunda rose grows better if grafted onto a rootstock. You should ask whether the rootstocks were used for planting roses in greenhouses or in the ground;
    14. We dig a hole - a cube with a side of 50 cm - and put compost or rotted manure and garden soil on the loosened bottom;
    15. we form a mound in the hole along which we spread the roots;

      Pruning flowers using the example of the rose "Samba Floribunda"

      Strong pruning can deplete a flower for several years, weak pruning promotes the appearance of large bushes and thin growths. Therefore, the main rule for pruning the Samba Floribunda rose is moderation. The following shows flower pruning using the example of the Samba Floribunda rose - the procedure is described step by step and is easy to understand even for a novice gardener.

      Good pruning is 6-8 buds, which is equivalent to a distance of 45 cm from the ground. However, it does not always bring successful continuous summer fragrance. What to do?

      Undertake combined pruning. Some stems - lightly, for early flowering. Others - strongly, to stimulate the growth of root shoots and aim the rose for late flowering. This manipulation is performed annually in February-March. Sometimes the deadline is shifted depending on local climatic and soil conditions.

      In the fall, the main stems and damaged roots of the bush obtained from the nursery are lightly trimmed. In February-March of the first year, strong stems should be cut to 3-5 buds (20 cm above the soil), and all weak ones should be removed.

      In the same months of the second year, the basal branches of one-year-olds are shortened by a third. The lateral ones are cut 10-15 cm from the base (2-3 buds). The center of the bush needs to be opened, for which strong growths of old stems are removed.

      In the third and all subsequent years, between mid-February and mid-March, anti-aging pruning is carried out. Annual strong branches are removed by 1/3. Biennials - 15-22 cm from the ground (5 buds). Old stems of thickened bushes are completely removed.

      Everyday care of Floribunda roses in the garden

      Whatever variety is planted in your garden, be it the Samba Floribunda rose or the Floribunda Circus rose, you need to master the following techniques: pruning, cutting out wild growth, forming bushes, loosening the soil, watering, getting rid of weeds, fertilizing, mulching, prevention and control with diseases and pests. Daily care of the Floribunda rose is especially important. personal plot in the first year after planting. The future of the flower depends on this.

      To obtain a well-developed bush of the Floribunda Deutsche Welle rose with symmetrical branches, shoots are pinched from seedlings of the first year when the 4th leaf appears. All emerging buds are removed. In August, the bush stops forming and the plant is allowed to bloom. Without pinching, growth will slow down and winter hardiness will decrease.

      If you have a Floribunda Laminuette rose growing in your front garden, water it once the soil dries out, once a week. 10 liters of water per bush is enough. It will turn out abundantly and infrequently. When watering, do not direct the water onto flowers and leaves. The procedure should be carried out with settled, non-cold water and choose morning or evening for watering.

      Mulching and fertilizing

      Mown grass, rotted manure, compost, sawdust, and chopped hay are used as mulch. Mulching improves soil structure, promotes the life of earthworms, and smoothes out temperature changes. An 8-centimeter layer of mulch applied eliminates the need for annual digging.

      After pinching the buds of the Floribunda Golden Dreams rose, it is recommended to water the bushes with either mullein infusion (ratio 1:10) or chicken droppings (ratio 1:20). In spring, all varieties benefit from a urea solution ( Matchbox per bucket). During the period May-August, roses are fertilized every 2 weeks. By the end of summer, the proportions of potassium and phosphorus increase. In autumn, roses use wood ash as a fertilizer (a glass per bush). To improve soil health, infusions of nettle, marigold, and comfrey are used. Before the first flowering, all roses are fed with sodium humate (1 teaspoon per bucket of water).

    Description: roses Rumba

    Rumba is one of the first roses to give the low-growing floribundas the bright but variable colors of Masquerade. The flowers, when opened, are yellow, but over time the edges of the petals become bright scarlet, and then crimson, while the yellow color fades. The reverse side of the petals is yellow, the center of the flower also remains yellow. Flowers appear in clusters of 3-15 on a tough, compact bush with shiny green foliage, the variety blooms profusely. Although many superior varieties have now emerged, Rumba remains popular and widespread, especially in northern Europe. (ARE)Dense, shiny foliage covers an upright bush up to 70 in height and width. Proper planting is the key to lush flowering

    Whether the Floribunda rose is planted singly or in a group, whether the flowers are used as a hedge, or whether they are used to create garden compositions - in any case, these beauties will look great, but for the harmonious development of the bush, you need to pay attention to proper planting and subsequent care.

    When choosing a place for planting, it is necessary to take into account that the plant prefers sunny, windless places, and the best time to plant a Floribunda rose is considered to be spring, and it is advisable to plant the beauty during the day. Autumn planting is good because the root system of the plant will have time to adapt to the new place before the cold weather, and with the onset of warmth it will immediately enter the growing season.

    Rose Floribunda, typical representatives of which have a highly developed root system, requires a fairly wide hole for planting, approximately 40-50 cm in width and depth. The holes are filled with water, then filled with a mound of garden soil with the addition of sand, humus, peat, fertilizers and bone meal.

    Clay soil must be diluted with compost and sand, sandy soil must be weighted with clay and humus. The roots of the seedling are immersed for 30 minutes in a mixture of mullein and clay or a root growth stimulator, then they are planted in a hole, leaving the grafting site 12 cm above ground level, the roots are sprinkled with the remaining soil, watered abundantly and mulched with sawdust, peat or humus.

    Rose Floribunda - planting and care in open ground

    The Floribunda rose, planting and caring for it in the open ground does not require special skills and can be done even by beginners, is resistant to diseases and pests, and is winter-hardy.

    To prevent diseases, the bush must be sprayed even before the buds open; the plant is treated with copper sulfate and Bordeaux mixture, then inspect the emerging foliage and buds as they grow. Spotting is treated with special preparations, and aphids, spider mite, and the leaf roller are eliminated with the help of insecticides. Throughout the growing season, the plant is regularly watered and fed.

    Before Floribunda needs pruning - all buds and foliage are cut off, all unripe branches are removed, the bush is sprayed with Bordeaux mixture, the soil is sprinkled with peat or fallen leaves and wrapped. In the event of severe frosts, the plant is additionally insulated with a layer of snow or spruce branches.

    It is difficult to imagine at least one area without the queen of the garden - the most beautiful Floribunda roses can decorate even a small lawn, and with proper care and loving care, the garden beauty will delight the gardener and his guests until the frost, giving a wonderful aroma and good mood.

    It often happens that plants that have been chosen for a long time and carefully do not live up to expectations, and those purchased by chance suddenly reveal themselves in all their glory, when you do not expect anything special from them. Just such a story happened with this rose (which cannot be said about a rose with almost the same name, which was carefully chosen, but about that in another review).
    I will say right away that it is very difficult to convey the zest of this plant in a photo, but I will try to describe in detail why it captivated me. There are quite a lot of roses on my plot and before I started growing them, I had no idea how many nuances affect general perception plants. With some plants you have to tinker so much, and even if there is a result, it can be overshadowed by the new “whims” of your ward. And this rose, on the contrary, seems to be trying to please me in all respects.

    The bush is quite compact, well leafy and well suited for flower beds and garden paths. The leaves are dark green, dense.

    The flowers are small, 4-5 cm, dense, opening slowly. When fully opened, the core of the flower is visible, but there are quite a lot of petals. The flower is so lush and elastic. Flowers appear in clusters of 5 pieces or more. They look very elegant.

    The color of the flower is unusual and not very common; there may be some difficulties in accurately describing it because the flowers change color during flowering. And the flower itself lasts a very long time, up to several weeks. During this time, bright red flowers with a golden, yellowish center first lighten a little (into yellow), while the tips of the petals remain with a red frame, and then the flowers become carmine red, losing their yellowness, from which only an orange subtle glow remains. Well, in the end, they become just like in the photo, i.e. even at the end of flowering they look neat and last until the end.

    Due to this feature of changing color, the brushes look very beautiful. Sometimes on the same brush there are flowers of completely different colors.

    The aroma is weak.

    The variety is very resistant to diseases and even aphids have never settled on it.
    It winters well, but with shelter and preliminary pruning.

    Never froze or weathered.

    Blooms continuously throughout the summer. You just need to remove the faded shoots. Drought resistant. It responds well to fertilizing and loosening the soil, but if this is not done, it will not be too offended and will not stop blooming, there will simply be fewer flowers in the clusters.
