Guide to demonic invasions in the WOW Legion pre-patch. Legion attacks on the Broken Isles Legion attack schedule in wow

Demon Invasions will only be available on World of Warcraft's live servers for a few weeks before Legion's release.

The demonic invasion will affect six locations of the original game. Invasions will continue throughout the Legion pre-patch; To access them, it is not necessary to complete the quest chain on the Broken Shore:

  • Invasion: Hillsbrad Foothills (Tarren Mill)
  • Invasion: Westfall (Watch Hill)
  • Invasion: Azshara (near the Gates of Orgrimmar)
  • Invasion: Dun Morogh (Kharanos Village)
  • Invasion: Northern Barrens (Crossroads)
  • Invasion: Tanaris (Gadbambasque)

Achievements for the Legion Invasion (prepatch 7.0.3)

By completing missions in one location, you will receive the achievement Confronting the Legion, and by completing missions in all six zones, you will receive the achievement Defender of Azeroth: Legion Invasions.

Both achievements are in the Rituals of Power category: you only have a few weeks to earn them. These achievements will no longer be possible to complete after Legion is released.

Invasion stages

Each Legion pre-patch invasion is a group scenario with multiple stages:

  • Stage 1: Defend an invasion point, such as Kharanos in Dun Morogh or Crossroads in the Barrens.
  • Stage 2: Eliminate the two lieutenants and the demon commander.
  • Stage 3: Drive the Legion forces out of the location. You can open the map to see where the enemies are currently located. Progress comes from killing enemies and saving friendly NPCs.
  • Stage 4: Kill the demon boss at the invasion point. The bosses are quite strong, with powerful abilities - they are not easy to defeat.

Against the demonic threat, you will fight alongside the opposing faction (Alliance and Horde) and one of the leaders may come to your aid (for example, Muradin and Moira in Dun Morogh).

In addition, in each location there will be special mounts or devices (steam tanks, for example), as well as used items that can cause great damage (in Dun Morogh these are bombs).

As the battle progresses, you can gain buffs such as Hero's Resolve and Inspiration.

Nether Shards in WOW Legion prepatch

  • Equipment Set: Fel-Infused Cloth Armor for 200 OP
  • Equipment Set: Felshroud Leather Armor for 200 OP
  • Equipment Set: Fel Ring Mail Armor for 200 OP
  • Equipment set: plate armor from the fel forge for 200 OP

Note: The items you can get as loot from chests (Large Legion Chest and Small Legion Chest) have the same appearance as the transmog sets.

If you only need them for transmog, it will be much easier and faster to buy a set than to farm chests.

When all 9 stacks of the effect are gone, you can turn into a Doomguard for 1 minute using the ability Submit to Darkness.

Strategy: If your ability Cloak of Darkness is on cooldown, look for places away from the city guards: if you are killed, all progress and all stacks of the effect will be lost.

Tension is rising in the air, the Burning Legion is very close. The enemy is at the gate! And the first indicator of this is the increase in the number of intrusions. Now there are already 6 of them at the same time!

Even more experience for alts, various things for fragments and wipes due to one-shot mechanics. Well, in addition, Blizzard has activated access to another part of the prequest for WoW: Legion. Dalaran is under attack by alien fel-legion ships and our task is to protect the capital of the resistance. And after protection, you can safely teleport the whole city to the Broken Isles and start cleaning up the loose ends... however, there’s still a week before that!

And Khadgar and his comrades are big trolls. They cleaned up the city, but forgot to warn =)

Even before the release of Legion, the armies of the Burning Legion infiltrated Azeroth and resumed their onslaught with renewed vigor, determined to crush all resistance this time. Now that the forces of the Alliance and Horde have managed to make their way to the Broken Isles and engage in battle with the armies of demons, the threat of new attacks is closer than ever.

With the release of expansion 7.2, Tomb of Sargeras, the Burning Legion will resume attacks on the positions of the defenders of Azeroth on the Broken Isles. The heroes of the Horde and Alliance must once again push back the enemy in a series of battles that we call "Legion Charges." These are somewhat reminiscent of the demonic invasions that took place before the expansion, but the new Legion attacks are world quests. This way, new events will be offered to all players, but participating in them is optional if you do not want to be distracted from developing your heroes.

Legion attacks can be used as a means of character development if one of the heroes bound to the account can already complete world quests. Missions related to Legion attacks will allow players to fight back against demons and earn additional experience and reputation.

Developer Comment: During early discussions about the upcoming Legion expansion, we made it clear that Legion's demons would resume their assault on the Broken Isles with renewed vigor in a future update. And this moment has come!

We all really enjoyed Invasions and were originally planning to do something similar in Patch 7.2. Unfortunately, despite the ease of implementation of such an idea, invasions had too much of an impact on the gameplay in cases where players wanted to develop new characters. We decided that we would combine the experience gained from developing Demon Invasions with the World Quest system introduced in Legion.

The Burning Legion will focus its attacks on a few key areas in the zone, and these can be reached through the World Quest system. While repelling attacks, you will have to fight elite bosses, clear areas infected with Fel, and suppress infernal “madness” (sorry, no pun intended). When a zone is attacked, every World Quest completed there will count towards the Local Envoy's quest.

Once the players have repelled the attack, they will need to defend an important point on the Broken Isles (like Thunder Totem in Highmountain or Black Rook Fortress in Valsharah).

An important difference from Demon Invasions is that players fighting off Legion attacks will also have the opportunity to take part in an additional three-player scenario. During the scenario, it is necessary to destroy the flagship of the Legion, from which the demons control the actions of the troops on the ground.

Developer Comment: In many ways, the attacks are reminiscent of the demonic invasions you had to deal with before Legion, but they were all designed from scratch for each zone. We tried to make the events so that they attract as much attention as possible, but at the same time do not interfere with the players' character development. Yes, the Legion has attacked Azeroth, and you must fight it. But if you are developing your thirteenth hero because you need two shamans (everyone needs two shamans!), then you can continue to calmly complete tasks and pretend that nothing threatens the world.

Attacks will not happen all the time. After you have managed to repel all attacks on the Broken Isles, the Burning Legion will need time to lick their wounds, regroup and send reinforcements before the demons go on the offensive again. Each attack will not last very long - less than the breaks between them.

There are other differences between demonic invasions and Legion attacks. Unlike invasions, when repelling attacks, progress will be calculated for each player individually. Each player will be able to take part in the defense of a particular point. You will need to go through all stages of the battle and protect the Broken Isles! But heroes like you can probably handle it easily... right?

Try to fend off the Legion in Patch 7.2 on the PTR before the changes are added to the game!
