The most popular sizes are shown here, but almost all models have options with center distance up to 800 mm. But they are usually supplied to order. But you need to take into account that the models with a height of 600, 700 and 800 mm, as well as GL/D, are a product for the European market. Their operating pressure 10 atm, test - 16 atm. Therefore, such modifications should be used with caution in high-rise buildings, but in individual heating they are not in danger.

Extrusion radiators

These thermal devices are made using a different method. The part of the radiator with the plates is made by extrusion: it is not cast, like all those described above, but is extruded, giving it a given shape. The resulting panels are pressed or glued to the cast manifolds. This option, of course, has a much lower operating pressure, thinner walls, less weight, and less heat transfer. Extrusion radiators are very poorly suited for our networks. They can only be used in individual heating: operating pressure - 9 atm. The main argument in their favor is their low price. How positive quality light weight can be considered: not all walls can be hung with a tall, heavy structure. Then extruded aluminum radiators from Global are an excellent solution. But for normal operation stable pressure is required. They are also more demanding on the quality of the coolant: the pH is strictly within 7-8.

If you choose from two models, Global OSCAR or Global Ekos Plus, then OSCAR is more suitable for our conditions. They have welded vertical and horizontal collectors, which provides greater reliability compared to similar devices from other manufacturers. Their pipes are also thicker (noticeably in terms of weight).

What are bimetallic radiators

Everyone knows what aluminum radiators are. But they may not know. Externally there are no differences: the forms are very similar. Aluminum is lighter in weight. And all because of the design. Global bimetallic batteries are made from welded steel tubes around which fins are cast from aluminum alloys. The supply and return manifolds, as well as the vertical tube connecting them, are made of steel. All this is welded into a single structure.
