Design programs for furniture. Basic programs for creating upholstered furniture projects

Anyone who has at least once designed and created cabinet furniture on their own will no longer visit furniture showrooms. In that simple matter it all starts with a project that describes the product in the smallest detail. Today we will talk about the most common programs for designing cabinet furniture.

Design challenges and complexity assessment

Designing cabinet furniture is a rather meticulous task, requiring attention to both the global concept and many small details. Unlike drawing on paper, CAD tools give you control over all created objects, even those that are hidden from view by other details.

The main design task, which consists in the spatial arrangement of cabinet furniture parts and the arrangement of their larger groups, is solved by almost any furniture program. The three-dimensional visualization function allows you to freely manipulate objects, move them in space and view them from any advantageous angle.

But the specifics of working specifically with furniture components are not implemented in any software. The PRO100 program, for example, despite its simplicity, speed and good visualization system, does not see at all the functional difference between a housing part or door handle. In the context of PRO100 or bCAD, any object has a shape, location, color or texture, but its purpose is modestly kept silent.

bCAD

This slows down work on large projects. For example, in the BAZIS complex the processes of arranging fittings are automated; the program can automatically generate sets of hinges, handles or extension systems and place them in accordance with the installation rules, simultaneously generating a marking diagram for drilling. And this is only one module of the program called “Furniture Maker”, designed for modeling, and there are half a dozen other parts of the complex - for cutting sheets, organizing storage, production and sale of furniture.

It is the ability to work with specific furniture design tasks, and not just put boards in general design, distinguishes specialized software from amateur software. The PRO100 program costs about $1000 fully equipped, and it has a demo version that is quite suitable for creating your own amateur projects. The BAZIS complex is the main competitor of PRO100 in Russian market: costs half as much, has twice as many features, but the visualization system is lame.

Programs for 3D modeling

The need to visualize the working scene is mainly needed for the presentation of furniture and the development of catalogs. When designing furniture yourself, this fades into the background, although it can serve as a useful addition. The design process optimally takes place in programs like PRO100, KitchenDraw or WOODY - one of the few free, but somewhat outdated programs today. They have a function for quickly switching the displayed view, from a black and white sketch to a three-dimensional scene with its own light sources.

Three-dimensional model in WOODY 2.0

In the “BASIS” complex, for example, everything is not so rosy: the main work is carried out in the “Furniture Maker” module, and the construction of a visual concept, playing with colors, shadows and textures is moved to the “Salon” module, which is purchased separately. There's no denying that visual assessment makes design fun, but... professional activity It's more of a distraction.

Despite the availability of graphical tools, almost all work is carried out using parameterization methods. An object on the screen is just a display; it has a number of properties and features that are set manually through a parametric window. True, in a purely visual mode, you can quickly sort through the existing library of furniture, select the samples you like, quickly change the size and proportions (stretch, compress) of each individual product and make a global arrangement, and only then move on to working on the details.

Features of hand-crafted details

We have already said that some programs have tools for automating the placement of elements and working with individual parts, but this is only one side of the issue. Each program has a number of primitives - objects from which the assembly of more complex parts and groups always begins. In PRO100 and Astra, for example, the base object is a board, vertical or horizontal. It is possible to edit the plan form, but only once, so all project details will have a constant section along at least one axis. In practice, this results in modeling difficulties radius facades, plinths and countertops.

In KitchenDraw, bCAD, WOODY and BAZIS, objects are also created using board primitives, but there are more tools for working with them. For example, boards can be of several types, such as bottom, back wall, side wall. Guided by the global properties of the project, the program can determine their more specific aspects, such as size, position, connection to other parts, or provide for some actions that can be performed on an object of this type.

bCAD

Professional software can be equipped with a template engine that offers standard designs drawers, compartments, doors, countertops and other common furniture elements. Another difference between professional software is the ability to work out fasteners. In the Astra program, an analogue of the BAZIS complex both in functionality and cost, it is possible to mark drilling and milling locations on parts for the installation of canopies. But BAZIS-Mebelshchik creates comprehensive additive and edging maps, compiled, like all exported BAZIS documentation, in accordance with ESKD or ISO.

Visualization differences

CAD systems for designing cabinet furniture have three basic display modes. First - wireframe view— common to all programs; in this mode, only edges and vertices of parts are displayed. Modeling furniture components, seeing only their frame, turns out quite quickly, but when large quantities details, a jumble of lines causes confusion.

Then the translucent display mode comes into play, which shows completely or partially lines that are not visible from the current angle. The mode is good for composing small composite objects into even larger ones and relative positioning.

The third mode, inherent in almost all CAD systems, is the overlay of colors and simplified textures for a visual assessment of the success of the layout and relationships color range, sizes and shapes. But here, too, there are nuances: in programs with the simplest visualization, for example, PRO100, there is no possibility of applying textures and colors to individual edges of parts. Therefore, displaying contrasting edges is not possible unless you create the edge as a separate object with its own texture.

The creators of KitchenDraw went further and added rendering capabilities. By by and large, no CAD software for cabinet furniture will provide such display quality, except perhaps non-specialized CAD programs. But is such an opportunity justified at an hourly cost of the program of $2-3 or a subscription for a year for more than $500? However, KitchenDraw gives you 20 free hours, which is enough to familiarize yourself with the program and create a couple of trial projects.

Libraries

There is perhaps no more valuable factor than the vastness and content of the component libraries for the program being used. Majority furniture showrooms usually work from a very impressive catalog furniture products and sets, dealing only with adjusting their sizes to the customer’s premises. Who is stopping you from doing the same?

Even the most simple program PRO100 enjoys unprecedented success among furniture makers, largely due to the most extensive library with the ability to freely import third-party projects made by other craftsmen. All you have to do is add some technical details, adjust the location of shelves and drawers, color - and the finished detailing will be in your hands in 30-40 minutes of work.

Libraries can include both ready-made sets and even entire interior concepts, as well as individual furniture sections. Additionally, any library includes samples of paint and texture palettes in accordance with generally accepted standardization, so questions about the correct color selection when ordering cutting usually do not arise.

Cutting programs

Having a sheet cutting optimization module in the program can be very useful. Of course, when ordering sheet cutting, just a list of parts is enough. But, having thought through the cutting scheme, you will be able to estimate the final cost of the furniture or visually display the edging, drilling and milling maps on a printout.

Of course, free import of projects provides increased speed and ease of operation, therefore the purchase of additional modules for the BAZIS or Astra systems is beneficial mainly for furniture manufacturers. On an individual basis, you can also use free third-party programs such as Cutting.

Of course, it will take some time to enter the detailing parameters manually, but for one-time use this is quite enough.

The PRO100 program is designed for fast and efficient furniture design and interior design. With her participation, you can implement a design project of a room of any complexity in a short time, obtain its high-quality visualization, and calculate the cost. The PRO100 program contains the optimal set of tools for three-dimensional computer modeling, intuitive, easy to use.

The PRO100 application has been successfully used in furniture production, makes the work of planners and designers easier. With its help, you can design furniture “from scratch,” create your own library, simulate interior design, plan production supplies, and receive assistance at the stage of product sales. At each stage of work, immediate visualization in several options, their evaluation and reports is possible. That is why PRO100 is successfully used by large furniture companies, medium and small businesses, professional and amateur designers.

Having a computer with the Windows operating system allows the program PRO100 download free in Russian, easily install and start modeling your cabinet furniture. Most design operations are carried out using the mouse. The editing toolbar (alignment, positioning, rotations, etc.) helps in the work. Each element of the project includes a properties window to describe the corresponding characteristics - name, material, dimensions, price, etc. Visualization of the interior is possible in seven projections, taking into account the lighting mode. You can also add graphic effects.

Advantages of the PRO100 furniture program:

  1. Intuitive interface.
  2. Instant high-quality visualization.
  3. Powerful information base from ready-made libraries.
  4. Possibility of creating your own library.
  5. High accuracy of material calculations.
  6. Possibility of experiments with color, shape, material.

The PRO100 program is ideal for anyone involved in the design and development of cabinet furniture. In production, with her participation, high efficiency and quality of work are achieved, and the range is expanded. Using PRO100 for interior design by beginners allows you to quickly decide on key issues - shape, color, style of products.

Nowadays, there are many programs to correctly calculate all the required furniture sizes for your home. Furniture design software is a tool not only for the professional furniture assembler and manufacturer. Any person who decides to furnish an apartment or house with their own hands can discover a lot of useful functions in this software.

There are both paid and free programs that have a trial period of use. If you are making up individual project home furniture, this free period should be enough for you.

The furniture manufacturing process includes several main stages.

Each stage of work has its own program. Using the appropriate software allows you to speed up the process of creating furniture, avoid the most common mistakes, use ready-made package solutions, making your own adjustments that will make your piece of furniture individual.

There are three main types of programs of this kind:

Large development companies specializing in design, engineering, cutting and manufacturing of furniture often offer packaged versions of their software products. When one shell and a single interface supports different fashions and additions are convenient primarily because you do not need to once again solve the issue of compatibility and reading formats. These packaged software offerings automatically read the data without asking any questions.

All applications that are aimed at are designed in such a way that you can enter all the coordinates and dimensions of your room, as well as separately place and change each detail. In any case, you can find the program on the Internet and choose the one you like. There are also online services for these purposes.

The best furniture design programs

Furniture project in Pro100 program

Disadvantages of the Pro100 program

The main disadvantage is the rather high cost of the software, which, in principle, is lower than that of competing products, but not by much. You can download it for free and try the demo version of the program to see if it’s right for your job or not.

At the same time, the decision to save money by using the demo version will be overshadowed by the inability to print or export your project. The demo version does not even allow you to simply save the developed project.

If a specialist is seriously involved in furniture design, then Pro100 is worth the money. This easy-to-learn program allows designers to fully realize their creative potential.

Have you started a renovation, have a client appeared, or are you just interested in playing with the interior? Interior designer programs will help. We have described more than 20 of them. Some can be used on a computer, others are available as applications on a tablet or phone.

The era of drawing an interior sketch on whatman paper is over. And it was replaced by computer programs. The benefits of them are obvious both for certified designers themselves and for their clients.

The former can “draw” and change the interior without traces of a pencil wiped with an eraser; for the latter, such visualization helps to imagine what the interior will look like.

Designers who have received this specialty in universities (we hope it was useful) need the help of computer programs. But how do you figure out what programs are needed for an interior designer?

There are many of them. Some are paid, others are shareware, and in others you can work without paying anything to the developer. There are those that show the design on a plane, and many programs are able to present the sketch in 3D format, remaining on the printout.

Let's look at the best programs for interior designers. Do you have a favorite program? Which? And is it easy for you to work in it?

1. ArchiCAD

The program is suitable for professional designers and architects, since it has a whole range of various options - from floor plan to construction documentation and specifications.

Shareware. The trial period of use is one month. Then you need to purchase a license to operate all the functionality. Currently, the rights to the programs belong to Grasshopper.

Advantages: all parts of the project are not separate, but interconnected. If changes are made to one of them, this will immediately be displayed on the general plan, in section, in the views where this part is involved.

Flaws: no multi-pass. That is, the created project cannot be created in several versions at once. Complex geometry is also too tough for the program. You can use the help of other software - but is it necessary?

The program is shareware. A little time is given for familiarization, then you are offered to buy a license key.

Advantages: incredible realism of the sketch, ease of use, ample opportunities. Don't have time to develop a plan? The library has ready-made layouts and standard interiors. They can be taken as a basis and brought to a presentable look.

Flaws: takes up a lot of space on the computer, the latter must have a good RAM. Program for beginners. Professionals are unlikely to learn anything new.

7. Astron Design

The planning program from Astron allows you to set the parameters of rooms, select the color of decoration for walls, ceilings, floors, select and place furniture, decorative items, and indicate the location of windows and doors.

However, Astron Design can hardly be called a full-fledged interior design program. This is more of a planner for arranging furniture in a room with given parameters.

The program is free.

Advantages: wide possibilities, realistic picture. Updated catalog of objects and furniture in the new version.

Flaws: poor color range. The project is demonstrated in 2D format, that is, flat, like a regular drawing.

You can download it by entering the program name in the search.

8. PRO100

Software from Russian developers. In it you can not only create design projects for a house or apartment, but also design interiors and furniture. The service is easy to understand and can be used by both beginners and beginners.

But no one said that it should always be difficult for professionals, right? The main thing is to realize the idea and idea and present it in printed form or on a tablet to the client.

Shareware program. The demo version has limited functionality, but it is enough for an amateur. The licensed version is not expensive.

Advantages: objects can be moved, the project can be rotated for review, and options for layouts and items can be found in the library. It is possible to apply dimensions to the room.

9. Home Plan Pro

The Home Plan Pro interior design program allows you to quickly create a plan for a house, office or apartment, using modifications of doors, windows, furniture, and decorative objects. The good news is that there are quite a lot of these objects, so you can create an attractive interior design.

The program is simple, and it is precisely this simplicity that makes it unattractive for professional designers.

The program is shareware. You have to pay for the license.

Advantages: the finished project can be sent by email or fax directly from the program, or printed.

Flaws: interface on English language. According to professionals, it is not worth the money - it is too simple.

10.Apartama

This is not a program, but an online service for creating interior design in 3D modeling. It also contains finished projects, so that you can get an idea, and a decent amount of all kinds of objects, finishing materials.

You can create a project specification, print it, send it by email. Once you’ve finished working on the design, you can take a virtual tour of the property.

In the program you can make a 3D kitchen, as well as prepare estimates, reports, calculate the cost taking into account VAT, discounts, and exchange rate fluctuations.

13. AutoCad

This program is for those who like to draw the old fashioned way - on whatman paper, using a ruler, pencil and compass. Now this is possible in AutoCad.

Create vector plans and images using simple lines: arcs, straight lines, curves, shading, etc.

14. 3D Max

This program is specifically for professional designers. The picture turns out clear and realistic. Therefore, the customer will be able to see what his home will ultimately look like. The designer is given complete freedom of action.

But it is worth considering that the sketch takes a long time to create, so you need to be patient. If the result is worth the wait, you can be patient, don’t you agree?

Advice for designers: It would be nice to accompany the picture with drawings, an estimate, or simply a description of the sketch on paper. This will be useful to both the customer and the person who will manage the repair.

15. VisiCon

In this program, you can not only change the layout of an apartment or room, but also its creation itself. In the tasks you can enter the number of rooms, the layout of the home, the purpose of the room.

The plan is created in a three-dimensional image, variations of textures (including your own) and colors, selection and placement of furniture and decorative items are available.

The service's capabilities also allow you to design a landscape design or garden.

Shareware program. 30 days free use

Advantages: program is Russified, 3D format, virtual walk.

Flaws: The graphics are far from realistic. For a virtual review, you need another program - the so-called 3D viewer. The developers of Room Arranger recommend Cortona3D Viewer.

Beautiful, functional online service to create the layout of a house, office, apartment, residential and non-residential premises with realistic graphics. To decorate the rooms, objects that exist in reality are offered. You can later buy them.

The created project can be sent to email, publish it on one of the social networks or on the website.

Advantages: furniture arrangement in 2D and 3D, virtual walk. You can build walls yourself, giving the room any shape, so the service is also suitable for those who build own house or a dacha.

Flaws: You can only work if you have an Internet connection.

To work, you need to log in through your FB account or register in the usual way.

Advantages: Real picture, three-dimensional image.

Flaws: There is no Russian version, but artists should understand each other without words, do you agree?

Another clear and fun online service for creating interior design. You can enter your layout plan and operate with it. To work you need to register.

The smallest details down to the heating system, stairs, flooring and space for partitions.

Advantages: three-dimensional format, virtual viewing of the apartment from the inside. The dimensions of the partitions and walls are immediately visible on the monitor.

Flaws: visualization of the picture suffers. English speaking service. But even without knowledge of the language, you can understand the functioning of the resource.

Having figured out what programs interior designers use, let's move on to applications.

Interior design programs aren't just for Macs, desktops, and laptops. Owners of tablets, smartphones, and iPads can now download one of the applications listed below to their gadget.

And immerse yourself in the delightful world of concrete, wallpaper, paint and furniture. Next we will talk about applications.

In this article:

Using the software greatly simplifies the design of models, cutting of furniture sheets and the manufacture of parts for furniture production.

Moreover, creating furniture using special programs speeds up the process of preparing a set of estimates, accounting and graphic documentation by more than 10 times (compared to manual labor).

Today, precision cutting is available without the use of CNC machines; it is enough to acquire a personal computer and master one of the special programs. Which one? We offer an overview of the six most popular programs, demo versions of which can be found freely available on the Internet.

Program “Obemnik – furniture enterprise”

When you first get acquainted with the program, it immediately becomes clear that the program is very modern and advanced. Works on Windows, MacOS and Linux.

Getting started with the OBEMNIK program

Main components of the program:

1. Graphic editor

The program makes it easy to design any furniture. Just drag elements from the right panel to work area. As you can see in the video below, you can also manually move the cabinets using the shift function. After working for 15-20 minutes you realize that everything is very convenient and thought out.

When you first get acquainted with the program, use the top view, it’s easier to navigate. Also an interesting feature: if you right-click while sliding, the cabinet rotates 45 degrees with each click.

What furniture is already presented in the program: these are kitchens in solid wood, in plastic, in frame profiles, interesting bent facades, a whole set various cabinets– compartment, hinged, orthopedic bases, there are various panels from which furniture is also made. You can create any model of your own, or use ready-made models offered by the developer.

As a result, the document is saved to the order database, but in addition to this, the program has a so-called CAD menu that expands the formats for saving and loading 3D models: IGES, STEP, STL, VRML.

2. Cutting sheet materials

After creating a furniture project, the parts are sent for cutting. There are several calculation modes, working with laminated chipboard residues, setting the thickness of the cutting part, transverse or longitudinal cuts.

Pros:

  • easy to learn without any special skills;
  • a complete database of materials and models, adding your own materials;
  • cutting included;
  • good graphics;
  • There are complex constructions for advanced users: creating contours, surfaces, subtracting and adding geometric bodies;
  • 3D model formats for adding to the program and output to a 3D printer or computer-controlled machine.

Minuses:

  • the program is paid, but very affordable price, compared to analogues. At the time of writing the review, the price for full set is 10,900 rubles, for everything at once.

PRO100 - simple and clear

A program for designing furniture with the ability to virtually arrange it in a specific interior. The best option for working with clients. With its help you can make a list of all necessary materials and accessories, perform product detailing with subsequent export to cutting programs, obtain projections with dimensions and the ability to print in any convenient angle. It is possible to work with complex parts: radius, asymmetrical, with oblique cuts.

Pros:

  • an intuitive interface that allows you to understand how the program works even without special training;
  • excellent 3D visualization is indispensable for both the designer and the sales manager, whose task is to convince the client here and now that the furniture he has chosen will fit perfectly into the interior of his apartment (Fig. 1);
  • a bunch of auxiliary tools, with the help of which you can quickly build an interior according to given parameters and place new furniture in it;
  • the ability to use both ready-made modules (the program is already “loaded” with standard samples of modules used in the production of cabinet furniture, windows, doors, etc.), and to build your own non-standard interior parts and save them in library catalogs (Fig. 2 );
  • high picture quality, as close as possible to a photograph, includes the ability to adjust the lighting intensity, transparency of materials, the presence of shadows and reflections;
  • there is a function for calculating the estimated cost of future furniture, for adequate operation of which it is enough to correctly configure the program, having previously entered the prices for fittings, materials and consumables (Fig. 3).

Minuses:

  • does not have a set of “references” (markers marking the necessary points - the center of an object, the intersection of lines, etc.), with the help of which you can more accurately position the part;
  • there is no functionality for applying edges;
  • it is not possible to create a map of additives - drawings with diagrams of fasteners or drilling holes in each part;
  • PRO-100 is a paid program; only a demo version with limited functionality can be found in the public domain;
  • Although PRO-100 positions itself as a furniture design program, it is more suitable for working with a client.

Basis-Furniture Maker

This program is considered the leader in furniture software.

"Bazis-Furniture Maker" - the main module for the virtual creation of models of cabinet furniture of any level of complexity at a professional level. With its help, you can create a full set of drawings, a cutting map, and receive specific recommendations for installing fasteners, right down to instructions for edging the panel. In addition to this, the complex includes six more modules, selected for various types of furniture business.

The names speak for themselves.

Program modules

"Basis-Closet" - module for parametric design - changes in geometric relationships and various design schemes of cabinet furniture. With its help, you can get a full projection of the cabinet in 5-10 minutes (Fig. 4);

"Basis-CNC" - a specialized program for cutting and adding parts modeled in the main module, on CNC and milling and adding centers for furniture manufacturing (Fig. 5);

"Basis-Cut" - software for creating cutting maps according to all the necessary parameters: area and dimensions of the workpieces, number of cuts and their exact length, yield of “useful” scraps, amount of waste, etc. (Fig. 6);

"Basis-Estim" - handy tool not only for calculating material costs per unit of production, but also for analyzing intellectual, labor and other costs arising in the conduct of economic activity. With the correct initial settings, the program performs subsequent calculations automatically, allows you to manually adjust documentation forms, export documents and calculation data to 1C:Enterprise (Fig. 7);

"Basis-Salon" - a program for working with customers directly in a furniture store. Thanks to simple functionality, the seller will quickly create and present to the client a photorealistic image of the future product, calculate the cost, transfer information about the new order to production (or send a command to ship finished products from warehouse) (Fig. 8);

"Bazis-Warehouse" - a program for accounting for material assets, complementing accounting programs, but providing more detailed information about income and expenses, internal movement, balances and types of materials, etc. (Fig. 9).

Advantages of "Basis-Furniture"

  • an excellent graphic editor with which you can obtain professional drawings and diagrams for cutting, manufacturing parts and assembly (Fig. 10);
  • the ability to create your own libraries;
  • the function of automatic marker binding has been implemented;
  • it is possible to use certain fragments of frequently repeated elements to create furniture complexes; - additive maps are displayed automatically, there is manual editing;
  • convenient arrangement of fasteners with the ability to create analog circuits (Fig. 11);
  • modules can work both independently and in combination. With their help you can optimize as much as possible work time and automate production at every stage - from order acceptance to delivery of finished products.

Minuses:

  • the most global disadvantage is the high price of the software;
  • visualization is not good enough - inferior in comparison with the functionality of PRO100;
  • difficulty in mastering.

For example, to make a cabinet, you need to start working with a virtual visualization of the project in “Basis-Closet”, then export it to “Basis-Furniture Maker” to work out complex elements. After that, calculate the cost in “Bazis-Estim”, create cutting and additive cards in “Basis-Cutting”, display the rest of the material in “Bazis-Warehouse”...

In short, it’s quite difficult to figure it out without prior preparation or a course of study.

WOODY furniture design software

An excellent option for beginning designers and furniture makers who plan to make furniture professionally with a minimum set of equipment.

Pros:

  • maximum ease of use, intuitive interface;
  • automated preparation of specifications with dimensions of parts (dimensional and saw);
  • it is possible to calculate the consumption of materials in quantitative and cost terms (Fig. 12);
  • a fully automated process of drawing up a cutting drawing, which will allow you to produce furniture without errors and with the highest quality possible;
  • good base of materials, fittings, fastenings, library ready-made models(which can be easily changed to suit your needs if necessary)
  • there is a 3D design function;
  • the ability to display each part with a marking diagram for fasteners and a comprehensive assembly drawing.

Flaws:

The main disadvantage of such a simple and convenient program in all respects is very significant - it lacks technical support, because the developers (InteAr LDT) refused to develop the software. WOODY has no updates or new versions; the software is gradually becoming outdated and is no longer compatible with many operating systems.

Astra – furniture designer

A program specifically designed for small and medium-sized businesses. With its help, you can design furniture complexes or individual parts, save created projects in a special library, and virtually arrange furniture in a 3D interior. In fact, this is an analogue of the PRO100 program: cheaper software with improved cutting and additive functions, but with much less design capabilities.

Consists of several separate modules:

  • “Astra-Cutting” - for drawing up cutting drawings and additive cards;
  • “Astra-Constructor” - for object visualization;
  • "Astra S-Nesting" - for the production of complex radius parts and cutting non-standard arbitrary shapes(Fig. 13).

Pros:

  • selection of the most economical cutting options to minimize waste;
  • automatic placement of fasteners with the possibility of manual adjustment;
  • possibility of applying an edge (in versions 2.0 and higher) - automatic generation of a set of drawings (diagrams of parts and axonometric view of the product), technical documentation for each part, which includes: order specification, statement of availability of necessary materials, specification for gluing the edges of parts, calculation of work performed and materials consumed, labels for marking;
  • parts cutting maps can be compiled separately or displayed on one sheet;
  • it is possible to automatically check the correctness of cutting and joining of parts (Fig. 14);
  • you can calculate the approximate cost of the product, taking into account the consumption of basic materials;
  • free demo versions of modules are a completely working option, which differ from paid software only in the impossibility of transferring data between modules (for example, from Astra-Constructor to Astra-Cutting).

Flaws:

  • accessories are not taken into account in cost calculations;
  • not all video cards support versions of OpenGL libraries for the Astra-Constructor program, as a result of which expensive software may simply not start or “slow down” during operation;
  • quite a "modest" library ready-made options, compared to analog RPO100;
  • The initial preparation is quite complicated - without filling out and entering detailed information, the program will not work.

KitchenDraw

Specialized program for modeling and design kitchen furniture, as well as bathrooms. Allows you to create complex professional projects for non-standard layouts, “drawing” the interior from scratch to the smallest detail. And a typical kitchen can be designed in a few minutes, using extensive library catalogs, adjusting the dimensions and geometry of the furniture.

Pros:

  • today KitchenDraw provides the best 3D visualization and the most colorful pseudo-photos of all available design programs;
  • automatic preparation of a graphic drawing of furniture (Fig. 15);
  • automatic calculation of project cost (Fig. 16);
  • fast modeling of a three-dimensional scene (including selection of tile colors, creation of glare and illumination of areas), thanks to a large library of ready-made three-dimensional models;
  • It is possible to export finished drawings to other programs with detailed cutting.

Flaws:

  • Feature of the program: hourly payment. That is, there is no specific cost for the software, you need to pay for use exactly as much as the time the program worked (an hour of work in the program costs about €3, but with active use the price decreases);
  • there are no cutting cards, additives, the ability to accurately calculate costs and other details necessary for accounting and directly for the manufacture of furniture, but this problem is solved by combining it with other programs.
