• Next, we roll the fiber into tubes and radially wrap the bolt between the cardboard and paper, creating a kind of roll. To prevent the fiber from unwinding, we fix it securely with glue.

• Then the fabric is stretched and secured from the back with a stapler.

• Cover the back of the seat with another piece of cloth to cover up any traces of cardboard.

• Cut the Velcro into four equal pieces and glue them crosswise to the bottom of the bucket and the base of the saddle - with the bristles to the bucket and the fluffy part to the seat. Connect the two parts. Hooray! The ottoman is ready!

• The sidewalls of the ottoman are fastened with metal corners. The bars, which glue all the inner corners, will help to strengthen the rigidity and reliability.
• From the front side of the ottoman, the cut itself is screwed into the beams, the caps of which must be sunk into the wood, so that later there will be no problems with the torn upholstery.
• The lower part of the box is coated with wood glue along the perimeter, capturing the ends of the beams.
• The bottom of the ottoman is attached, and the cuts are screwed into the ends of the beams again. The assembled structure should dry well.
• The base of the ottoman is made, but there are still no wheels and a lid on which you can sit in the future.
• The lid is fixed with 4 bars screwed from the inside. The work is done after you are sure that the lid closes without hindrance and that the stiffening bars on the side do not interfere with the closure of the lid.
• The finished structure is turned over, and the wheels are attached with cuts.

Filler

To give the ottoman a finished look, you need to close the remaining hole by sewing on a circle of material with processed edges. If the edges of a round part are difficult for you to process, then it can be cut in the shape of an octagon.

You can simplify the task and sew a pouf from two round parts, which will be the top and bottom of the product, and two rectangular parts, which are the sides of the pouf.

The height of the ottoman can be adjusted by the width of the rectangle. But the length should always be equal to half the length of the cut out circle.

Sewing rectangular parts, stitching a circle to them and filling them with filler, you can get a round ottoman that will be soft and light. It will become not only a practical piece of furniture, but also a wonderful toy for children that cannot be hurt.

The cube-shaped ottoman is made in the same way. In this case, instead of two rectangular pieces and two circles, you need 6 squares. It is not difficult to make a cube out of them. And if you sew a secret zipper into one of the edges, then you can change the filler and wash the cover.

Pouf made of plastic bottles

The ottoman can be made with your own hands and from plastic bottles. They, of course, must have the same volume.

To do this, the upper part of the bottle, where it begins to taper, needs to be cut off and the part remaining without a cap must be put on another bottle of the same type. Repeating this procedure with other bottles, we form a round structure from them.

So that the bottles do not deform and the pouf does not lose its shape, we fasten them with adhesive tape.

A little trick is that the bottle, which is inside the other bottles of the same kind, fastened with ordinary transparent tape, can be pasted over with double-sided and glued to the inside of the rest of the bottles.

In order to cover the upper and lower areas, it is necessary to cut a circle out of cardboard or chipboard according to the diameter of the connected bottles. We glue foam rubber to these circles, and wrap the pouf with it on the outside.

In order to make a pouf similar to those sold in stores, you need carpentry skills and some tools. To begin with, it is worth cutting out 4 rectangular parts from chipboard, 33 cm wide and 40 cm long.

This workpiece from the inside with a construction stapler can be sheathed with material. The square, which will act as a cover, is also sheathed from below with material. And the top, before being covered with an upholstery fabric, is pasted over with foam rubber in order to give the ottoman softness.

Along the entire outer perimeter, the pouf, like the lid, is wrapped in foam rubber. And only then upholstery with material. Hinges are used to attach the lid to the cube. To give this piece of furniture mobility, you can attach furniture wheels to the bottom.

It is even easier to make an ottoman with a lid from a bucket, a large saucepan or other utensils and utensils.

The main thing is that, like a pouf, they have a removable or opening lid. Then you just need to wrap the blank with foam rubber or other soft material and put a cover on it.
