Today, kitchen furniture made from pallets is slowly moving from the category of an amateur hobby into a separate design direction. Let's find out how realistic it is to make such furniture at home with your own hands, and finally, I will show and talk about 10 popular models.

Wooden pallets, or pallets as they are also called, are used for rigging work as a support for piece goods weighing up to 1.5 tons. Simply put, these are sort of stands for large and heavy boxes.

There are also bread trays, which also belong to the family of pallets; their length is fixed at 740 mm, and the width varies depending on the model from 465 to 640 mm, with a side height of 65 mm. They are rarely used to design furniture and are only suitable for making countertops.

In order not to measure each pallet separately, it is easier to carefully study the side parts of the structures: on a branded high-quality item made according to fixed standards, the EUR or EPAL stamp must be placed.

In addition to generally accepted standards, many companies produce pallets according to technical specifications(THAT). Such conditions are accepted at the level of company management and are often made for a specific product; most often there are products with the following dimensions:

800x1000 mm;
800x1100 mm;
900x1100 mm;
1100x1400 mm;
1100x1800 mm;
Square designs:
1100x1100 mm;
1200x1200 mm;
Specialized designs are extremely rare:
825x1000 mm;
1100x1320 mm.

	Stage 4. The blank is cut out, now you need to make 2 more of the same.

The EUR or EPAL marking indicates that these pallets are of European origin. Moreover, the second designation is equivalent to HT, and the first is older and may imply different types processing.

Never make furniture from pallets with the letters MB on them. This label means methyl bromide, a very strong insecticide.
