You can apply the dry release agent to the concrete surface using a dry brush about 20 cm wide. Simply immerse the brush in a bucket of powder and move it a little so that the powder sticks to the bristles. Checking the readiness of concrete

Before stamping, check the readiness of the surface, which should have an optimal level of ductility. If you start very early, the concrete will not support the weight of the workers or will not hold the texture. It is important to lay the first row in a straight line as it will dictate the direction of the subsequent rows. This must be monitored especially carefully, if the drawing is correct, rectangular shape. The first row of shapes should be perpendicular to the direction you are moving.

Before installing the second row, the first one must be laid completely. Ideally, you will purchase enough molds to lay one row, plus two to start the second.

The process of pressing the concrete surface

As long as the concrete remains in the ideal phase for pressing, it will be enough to simply walk around the form or walk over it with a light tamper.

Typically, roles in a team are distributed as follows. After laying the first row, one person places the first mold of the second row and, if necessary, the second. Standing on them, he can remove the initial forms of the first row and put them in the second.

Once the surface has been thoroughly cleaned and then dried, a liquid hardener mixture can be sprayed onto it, which creates a membrane and prevents moisture loss in the concrete.

    Preparing the work site

    To prepare the site, select a dry day with temperatures above 5 degrees Celsius. Prepare the base following the sequence of operations:

    • fence off the area, mark its outline using a cord and pegs;
    • delete upper layer soil up to 20 centimeters thick and compact the base;
    • fill the cavity with a sand-crushed stone mixture with a layer of 10-15 cm, compact the pillow;
    • put plastic film, ensuring an overlap between the strips of at least 10 centimeters;
    • install the formwork along the contour of the site;
    • place reinforcing mesh in the frame, ensuring a distance to the soil level of at least 5 centimeters.

    Concreting

    Carry out concreting work in the following sequence:

    • Prepare a concrete solution based on Portland cement grade M400 and higher, using three volume parts of sand and the same amount of fine crushed stone.

    • Add a plasticizer to the mixture in the form of an aqueous solution in the percentage concentration specified by the manufacturer.
    • Introduce polypropylene fiber in a volume of up to 600 kg per cubic meter of composition. It will prevent cracking and increase the service life of the array.
    • Pour the mixture into the formwork, distribute evenly throughout the volume, and compact.
    • Plan the surface.

    Hardener treatment

    Before making a decorative imprint, the concrete surface is treated with a hardener, which increases the strength characteristics of the mass and forms a powdery mass containing special ingredients:

    • coloring pigments;
    • crushed quartz sand;
    • granite in the form of crumbs;
    • binder filler.

    Particles of the composition fill concrete pores, color the surface, and provide high strength and compact the array.

    You can start stamping only after the solution has partially dried

    Process as follows:

    • Apply three-quarters of the total volume of sealer to the array. After 10-15 minutes of absorption, smooth the surface using an aluminum smoother.
    • Spread the remaining volume of the component, smooth out any unevenness using a spatula or steel strip. The composition will ensure uniform coloring of the array and, after leveling the surface, will partially compact it.

    Application of release agent

    Thanks to the separating component, the concrete is prevented from sticking to the matrix and the concrete is painted in the required color.

    The composition is offered in the form of a liquid or a dry mixture. Apply with a brush. After applying the composition, sand the corners of the area.

    Punching process

    Carry out the printing technology after the array has achieved the necessary plasticity, sufficient to ensure the print texture, since with increased density the print may not work.

    Sequence of work:

    • check the density of the array by clicking on concrete surface finger. If you have prints up to 6 mm, you can start working. It is possible to use a printing stamp, which must remain on the surface, supporting the weight of the worker;
    • lay out the stamps on the surface and number them in the required sequence;
    • use a tamper or simply press the matrices with your weight;
    • provide the possibility of hardening the mass throughout the day.

    Final stages

    When finishing work, perform finishing operations:

    • Eliminate defects in joints and seams using texture sandpaper or a hand roller.
    • Cut to relieve residual stress and prevent cracking shrink seams. Apply on fresh wood special tool or after hardening - an angle grinder.
    • Perform a flush by removing excess release agent with water.
    • Apply a sealant no sooner than a day later, which will provide protection from influences, add shine, and strengthen color scheme and will simplify surface care.

    After the concrete has dried, the surface with the imprint can be used.
