China Post China Post. Universal parcel tracking

Currently, ordering various consumer goods on Chinese websites and virtual trading platforms is becoming increasingly popular among residents of Russia and Ukraine. Buyers are attracted by the huge range of products offered here, as well as their low cost.

General information

Although China Post is state enterprise and has been a member of the Universal Postal Union almost since the beginning of the twentieth century, its modern infrastructure was formed only in 1949. Today, the number of China Post post offices exceeds 82 thousand, and the industry has almost 900 thousand employees.

The list of functions of China Post includes the provision of services to the population related to registration, delivery, sorting, forwarding and issuance of both domestic and international postal items. To optimize the process, the country has created more than two hundred postal sorting and processing centers, the largest of which are located in Shanghai and Beijing. The bulk of international parcels are delivered to the airports of these cities for further transportation.

Sending mail from China

There is no particular difference between the processing of sending mail from China and from any other country. The procedure is standard and is carried out at every post office. In addition, it is possible to arrange and pay for sending a parcel remotely via the Internet. This is most beneficial in terms of both saving time and speed of sending, since electronic requests are processed first. In fact, in this case, literally within an hour or two, the sender is already sent the tracking number of the parcel.

An accepted and paid shipment goes through the same stages for any country - sorting and customs clearance, only then is it directly sent to the addressee’s place of residence.

Like all postal operators that are members of the UPU, China Post is subject to rules governing the weight limit of accepted parcels (up to 20 kg). In the case when the shipment is carried out by EMS express service, this limit increases to 31 kg.

Classification of items

The principle of classification of international postal items in China is common for all members of the Postal Union: items weighing up to 2 kg are called small packages, over 2 kg are called parcels.

Small packages can be registered or unregistered, but parcels are registered by default, and any items sent by EMS express service are also registered.

Accordingly, a registered shipment makes it possible to track its movement using special Internet services, both official and independent, but an unregistered one does not.

To track the shipment, a unique code of 13 characters is assigned, where the first character necessarily indicates the category (R - small package, C - parcel, E - EMS shipment), the second character is added to increase uniqueness and can be any Latin character, followed by 9 -digital digital code, and the last two characters indicate the sender's country. The country code from which the package was sent is typical according to UPU standards. In particular, all items sent from China end with the letters CN.

If the track number for your parcel was not provided to you by the store, it is worth finding out - perhaps its purchase is offered as a separate service for an additional fee (usually insignificant).

Tracking

At the early stage of sending, you can use Chinese services for tracking, for example, the official website of China Post or independent services:

Here you can find out details about each stage your parcel is currently at, if it has not yet left the sender's country.

If you contact the express delivery service, the tracking service addresses will be as follows:

After the shipment has crossed the borders of China, it will be more convenient to track its status through the services of postal operators of the recipient country (Russian Post, Ukrposhta, Kazpost, etc.).

Figuring out which website you can use to track your mail from China is a thankless task. Moreover, the parcel can be sent not only by China Post, but by one of the “non-standard methods”, i.e. private carrier. This is also a very popular delivery method today. Baolai, ZTO, Yanwen Express - and that’s not all, new ones are constantly appearing (usually, along with the tracking number, the seller also sends the name of the delivery service, but not always).

To track, you can use our tracker, which will always help you find out the current status of your mail item. The program will automatically determine the delivery service and send a request to the appropriate website. On each page of our website you will find a form where you can enter a tracking number.

And on the right top corner there is a link to a page with an extended form where you can specify the country of destination of the parcel. And also read the answers to the most frequently asked questions. Enter the number, wait until the system determines the delivery service. Specify the destination country if it is entered incorrectly and click " track". If the button is inactive, it means the track number type is not recognized. Check it again.

Typical examples of mail item statuses

China Post uses the following statuses to indicate progress stages international parcel long journey to your destination:

  • Collection – the shipment is issued and accepted at the China Post Office.
  • Opening – the shipment has arrived at the sorting point.
  • Dispatching – the shipment is at the stage of processing and preparation for shipment outside the country.
  • Departure from outward office of exchange – customs clearance has been completed.
  • NULL – designation of various kinds of intermediate statuses that are not translated into English. After this entry in the status there are usually several Chinese characters. The reason lies in the fact that parcels from China undergo several additional procedures within the country that are not accepted in other countries. That is why these statuses do not have an English translation, and they are displayed only on the websites of Chinese tracking services or in special programs– such as TrackChecker.

In statuses marked NULL, three-letter encodings are also used to indicate the name of the international airports to which parcels are delivered for further transportation. Examples of such abbreviations can be easily found, for example, on the website.

The last status symbols indicate the abbreviated name of the destination country, for example: RU - Russia, UA - Ukraine, etc.

If you are confused by the hieroglyphs and would like to know exactly the status of the shipment, just use an electronic translator.

Sometimes it happens that a postal item has already received a status indicating that it has been exported, but after some time, using the tracking function, you can see that it has returned to the sorting point. In this case, there is no need to worry, the parcel was simply not sent on time and is now awaiting the next postal shipment.

Postal rates

The basic tariff for international shipping by China Post is relatively low. Sending a small package within 100 g somewhere in Europe costs only 18 yuan (1 yuan is approximately equal to 5.4 rubles). But for every additional 100 g of weight you will have to pay an additional 15 yuan. As mentioned above, most small packages from China are sent unregistered by default, as this is the cheapest type of shipment. Obtaining a track number costs extra (about 2-3 dollars), as does shipping insurance. The cost of insurance is calculated simply: for every 100 yuan of estimated value - 1 yuan of insurance.

Of course, services express delivery EMS China Post are much more expensive. For an accurate calculation, you can use tariff tables or cost calculators on Chinese or Russian postal sites. As a rough estimate, we can say that a parcel weighing 1 kg to Russia or Ukraine in this case will cost the sender from 300 to 450 yuan.

If a seller offers you free shipping, this most often means that the shipping cost is already included in the price of the product. However, China Post provides large wholesale customers with substantial discounts on services - hence free delivery and favorable prices for goods in large Chinese online stores.

Delivery terms

Just a year ago, postal items from China were delivered to the addressee in record time. short time- within a month. At the present time, thanks to the increasing popularity of purchasing in online stores, the China Post operator is faced with the same problems as Russian Post, which is repeatedly “declined” by consumers. The organization of the postal network turned out to be unprepared for the multiply increased volumes of international mailing, and therefore the delivery time for items from China increased significantly - up to two months, or even more under certain circumstances. We should not forget about the period, standard for any country, of a sharp increase in the number of parcels - this is the New Year holidays, when the mail is overloaded a month before and another month after. By the way, in China New Year celebrate according to lunar calendar, so 2-3 weeks of February China Post does not work at all. Add to this the national holidays of China, which also affect the speed of delivery - and it turns out that fast delivery is possible with a very low probability.

Considering that the volume of orders from Chinese online stores is steadily increasing every year, we cannot expect the situation to improve in the near future. If you want to receive your order as early as possible, this can only be done using the EMS service, which adheres to relatively strict delivery times and usually falls within two to three weeks.

Other factors affecting delivery speed

In addition to the general overload of the postal operator and the abundance of holidays, there are other reasons why the delivery of your order from a Chinese online store may be slightly delayed.

Many postal items from China are sent to their destination in transit through other countries, and this is not always the case optimal options both in terms of delivery speed and travel trajectory. However this scheme is regulated by UPU rules and is not a violation. For example, a parcel from China to Ukraine may well go through Hungary, Germany or some other European country. This is due to the lack of a sufficient number of direct flights between countries and directly from the volume of aircraft loading (most shipments are transported by air).

Currently, difficulties with direct shipment arise much more often when sending goods from China to Belarus and Ukraine than to the Russian Federation. It turns out that such a package will reach the recipient faster if it bypasses several airports in a well-organized transit various countries Europe than if he waits at Shanghai airport for a direct flight from sufficient quantity free space. That is why you should not be alarmed if you see the French airport code in the status of your parcel sent, for example, from Beijing to Minsk.

Of no small importance is the location of the warehouse from which the goods are sent - more precisely, its proximity to modern international mail sorting centers. Such centers, equipped with everything necessary equipment and having a large staff, they cope with the flow of mail quite quickly. They are located in Shanghai and Beijing in close proximity to the country's main international airports, which also speeds up dispatch. That is why, before placing an order in a store, it is recommended to find out where the product warehouse is located. This information is usually freely available.

The delivery time is also affected by such a seemingly trifle as the method of processing the shipment. At the beginning of the article, the fact was already indicated that shipments processed via the Internet are processed first. Many sellers use this, which significantly saves time and speeds up shipping. However, there are often people who like to carry out registration “live”, personally appearing at the post office for this. Nowadays, such a scheme can slow down the sending of a parcel for a period of one to several days.

Of course, such problems do not concern large companies with large sales volumes that sell their goods through trading platforms. Such companies use logistics intermediaries who quickly perform all the work of processing and sending finished orders.

For various reasons, a parcel that has already been processed and sorted may be sent across the border not on time, but with a delay. In this case, the container ready for shipment must be disbanded, and the postal items from it are returned to the previous stage. It is then that the “sorting” and “export” statuses appear again on the mail tracking servers.

  • Addresses of English-language official websites of the Chinese postal operator:

To track your parcel you need to take a few simple steps.
1. Go to the main page
2. Enter the track code in the field with the heading "Track postal item"
3. Click on the "Track parcel" button located to the right of the field.
4. After a few seconds, the tracking result will be displayed.
5. Study the result, and especially carefully latest status.
6. The predicted delivery period is displayed in the track code information.

Try it, it's not difficult ;)

If you do not understand the movements between postal companies, click on the link with the text “Group by company”, which is located under the tracking statuses.

If there are any difficulties with the statuses on English language, click on the link with the text “Translate into Russian”, which is located under the tracking statuses.

Carefully read the "Track Code Information" block, there you will find estimated delivery times and other useful information.

If, when tracking, a block is displayed in a red frame with the heading “Pay Attention!”, carefully read everything that is written in it.

In these information blocks you will find 90% of the answers to all your questions.

If in the block "Pay Attention!" it is written that the track code is not tracked in the destination country, in this case, tracking the parcel becomes impossible after the parcel is sent to the destination country / after arriving at the Moscow Distribution Center / Item Arrived at Pulkovo / Arrived in Pulkovo / Left Luxembourg / Left Helsinki / Sending to the Russian Federation or after a long pause of 1 - 2 weeks, it is impossible to track the location of the parcel. No, and nowhere. Not at all =)
In this case, you need to wait for a notification from your post office.

To calculate delivery times in Russia (for example, after export, from Moscow to your city), use the "Delivery Time Calculator"

If the seller promised that the parcel would arrive in two weeks, but the parcel takes more than two weeks, this is normal, the sellers are interested in sales, and that’s why they are misleading.

If less than 7 - 14 days have passed since the receipt of the track code, and the parcel is not tracked, or the seller claims that he sent the parcel, and the status of the parcel “the item pre-advised” / “Email notification received” does not change for several days, this is normal, You can read more by following the link: .

If the status of the mail item does not change for 7 - 20 days, do not worry, this is normal for international mail items.

If your previous orders arrived in 2-3 weeks, and the new parcel takes more than a month, this is normal, because... Parcels go on different routes, in different ways, they can wait for 1 day to be sent by plane, or maybe even a week.

If the parcel has left the sorting center, customs, intermediate point and there are no new statuses within 7 - 20 days, do not worry, the parcel is not a courier who is delivering the parcel from one city to your home. In order for a new status to appear, the parcel must arrive, unload, scan, etc. at the next sorting point or post office, and this takes much more time than just getting from one city to another.

If you do not understand the meaning of such statuses as Reception / Export / Import / Arrived at the place of delivery, etc., you can look at the breakdown of the main statuses of international mail:

If the parcel is not delivered to your post office 5 days before the end of the protection period, you have the right to open a dispute.

If, based on the above, you do not understand anything, read these instructions again, and again, until you are completely clear;)

How to track the movement of a parcel from abroad?

To track the movements of international postal items (IPO), a postal monitoring system has been developed, the main tool of which is a unique tracking number. This number consists of digital and alphabetic characters, and is also duplicated in the form of a barcode. Modern postal logistics terminals are equipped with barcode scanners and, when the IPO passes through such a terminal, the tracking number data is read and sent to the servers of the international postal monitoring system.

Thanks to this system, it is very easy to find out the location of the MPO. This can be done on the websites of government postal services or private logistics companies. In addition, there are convenient tracking services - trackers that combine tracking systems of many countries and private carriers.

What is a tracking number?

Tracking number is a number for tracking the movement of your cargo, provided by postal services. The tracking number is standardized by the Universal Postal Union and has a strict structure.

The standard international tracking number is XX123456789XX:

  • the first letters indicate the type of shipment, for example, CA-CZ – parcel with tracking, EA-EZ – express parcel sent by one of the international express delivery services, for example EMS, RA-RZ – small registered package with tracking, LA-LZ – small package without tracking
  • Next comes a unique eight-digit code, and the ninth digit is a verification value calculated using a special algorithm,
  • the last Latin letters indicate the country from which the parcel was sent, for example, CN - China, US - USA, DE - Germany.

Official and full information available here (PDF document, English).

To check if your tracking number is up to standard, use the form provided on the UPU website (Excel spreadsheet).

The seller provided a tracking number, but there is no movement of the parcel.

  • Information in the mail monitoring system may be delayed. The normal situation is a delay of 3-5 days.
  • The seller provided a pre-reserved number, but the package has not actually been shipped yet. Wait 3-5 days and clarify the situation with the seller.

I just paid for the order, and the seller already gave me a tracking number. All this is suspicious.

There is nothing suspicious about this, because abroad there has long been a system for reserving postal items that are purchased in advance. The seller only needs to enter the addressee’s details and print out the finished form with a tracking number.

What information can I get from my tracking number?

Using the tracking number you can get the following information:

  • method of sending MPO;
  • where (export) and where (import) MPO is moving;
  • find out the stages of movement of international goods - export, intermediate delivery points, import, customs clearance, delivery to the addressee within the territory of the recipient’s country;
  • mass of MPO (not always provided);
  • Full name and exact address of the recipient (usually this information is available on official trackers of postal and courier services).

Judging by the track number, the parcel is heading to another country.

  • The seller mistakenly provided the track number of another parcel or confused the numbers. Ask for clarification on this point.
  • There was a failure in the mail monitoring system. The parcel will still be delivered to its zip code and address.
  • The seller deliberately provided a different track number; the parcel might not have been sent at all, hoping for the lack of experience or inattention of the client. Chinese sellers often sin with this.

The IPO tracking number has a non-standard appearance. Why?

The standard tracking number of the form XX123456789XX is specific only to national postal operators that are members of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). There are several common reasons for receiving a non-standard tracking number:

  • The parcel was sent through large private delivery services - DHL Express, UPS, Fedex, SPSR, Meest, etc., which have their own internal standards for generating a tracking number. Typically, this number has only a numeric format and is tracked on the websites of these services or on aggregator trackers;
  • The package was sent from China via local carriers.
  • The seller made a mistake when writing the tracking number. Here you need to check with the seller that the number provided is correct;
  • the seller knowingly provided a false tracking number in order to deceive the customer. This is typical for Chinese sellers on Aliexpress. In this situation, only a dispute will help.

My order was sent through a national postal operator, but they did not provide me with an international tracking number. Why?

Not all postal items automatically receive an international tracking number. The fact is that all MPOs are divided into “small packages” and “parcels”. A standard small package (parcel) is considered to be a shipment weighing less than 2 kg and is not assigned a tracking number. In some cases, it is possible to register such an IGO for an additional fee and receive a tracking number. MPOs weighing more than 2 kg fall into the category of parcels and are assigned a tracking number, but even in this case it does not always have an international format. Parcels are divided into regular and priority (registered). The latter have an international tracking number.

Who should provide me with the tracking number?

In the case of purchases in foreign online stores and auctions, the tracking number is provided by the seller after payment for the order.

What determines the speed of MPO delivery?

There are a lot of conditions and factors here. The main ones include:

  • choice of delivery method - regular or priority (express) mail;
  • choice of delivery operator - state postal service or private express carrier. The delivery speed of private courier services can be 3-5 times faster than using regular postal services;
  • features of the work of postal operators in a particular country. For example, USPS mail is much faster than Russian Post;
  • distance between sender and recipient;
  • depending on the time of year, weather conditions, disasters. For example, during the Christmas sales and pre-New Year rush, the flow of parcels increases sharply and postal operators do not have time to process all parcels on time. This leads to delays.

When exactly will I receive my parcel?

There is no exact answer to this question. In this case, it is much more accurate to use the concept of expected delivery time. The website of each national postal operator contains information about the average delivery time by one method or another to a specific country. Stores also provide this information when choosing a delivery method.

The situation is clearer with courier carriers - DHL Express, UPS, Fedex, SPSR, etc. In 80% of cases, delivery is carried out the same day or within the next 3 days (if there are no problems at customs).

Delivery times for standard MPOs to Russia from the USA and European countries vary within the following time limits:

  • EMS shipments - 7–14 days.
  • Registered parcels and parcels - 14–30 days (depending on the distance from key centers of international postal exchange).
  • Simple packages and parcels - 18–40 days.
  • Average delivery time for parcels and packages from China and other countries South-East Asia is about 21–40 days.

I was sent a parcel weighing 1 kg (for example), but according to the track number in Russia, the weight became 0 (or much less than 1 kg). What is this connected with?

This is a very common situation when, after exporting to Russia, the parcel “loses weight” down to 0 grams. It’s just that some sorters are too lazy to weigh each MPO and enter this data into the tracking system.

The second option is sadder. If at any stage of delivery or customs clearance the parcel suddenly loses weight, this may indicate theft of the investment. This is a direct reason to insist on opening the parcel at the post office upon receipt. A parcel with a difference in weight must have a corresponding certificate.

The DHL Express, UPS, Fedex parcel was detained at Russian customs (sent to the store). For what reason?

The most common reason is exceeding the investment value limit for courier MPOs, which for Russians is 200 euros. You can read more about the features of courier services in our articles:

Also, some courier services organize delivery only to large cities of the Russian Federation, and if you are a resident of a small town on the periphery and are unable to come to the company’s office, the parcel will be sent back.

My package ended up in another country. What should I do?

There are two possible reasons for this:

  • The parcel is delivered in transit through third countries and the final destination has not changed. There is no need to worry, this is normal practice. Especially when delivered by courier services.
  • The seller mixed up the tracking numbers or entered the delivery address incorrectly. This happens extremely rarely and the problem should be resolved directly with the seller.

The package was sent from the USA via USPS. What is this and where can I track such parcels?

Parcels sent by USPS can be tracked on the official USPS website or on our tracker.

Delivery from China (Aliexpress and other stores) via Swiss Post and Sweden Post

Recently, many sellers on Aliexpress offer a choice of delivery via postal operators in Switzerland and Sweden. For many, this raises a logical question - what do China and Swiss Post have to do with it?! The point here is that Swiss Post and Sweden Post have representative offices in China and deliver parcels from the Middle Kingdom with a transit point in Switzerland and Sweden, respectively. The Chinese began to use the services of European carriers due to serious bans on the shipment of Li-Ion batteries by China, Hong Kong and Singapore Post. Delivery scheme: Singapore - Switzerland/Sweden - Russia (other countries). The track number for such shipments is RXXXXXXXXXXCH for Swiss Post and RXXXXXXXXXXSE for Sweden Post.

You can track it on the Swiss Post website www.swisspost.ch and the Sweden Post website www.posten.se

My package was lost (the attachments were damaged, completely or partially missing). What should I do?

What does “sent to airline” status mean? How long will it take for the parcel to arrive after receiving the “sent to airline” status?

“Sent to airline” is the last status that a parcel can receive while in China. Once the package has received the “sent to airline” status, it is no longer under the control of China Post. As a rule, the parcel arrives in the destination country within 2-4 weeks from the date of receipt of the “sent to airline” status. Typically, the “sent to airline” status does not change until the package reaches its destination or is delivered to the recipient.

Be careful if more than 30 days have passed after receiving the “sent to airline” status and you still have not received the package. Perhaps it got lost or its shipment was delayed in another country. In order for the seller or store to return your money, you need to file a claim.

What does the “Import Security Scan” status mean?

If your package has received the “Import Security Scan” status, there are three options:

  • If the parcel was not originally sent from China, and the LOCATION column indicates a city in China, for example, Beijing, Shanghai, etc., this means that the parcel was delivered to China, and will be delivered to the recipient after customs clearance. See the question How to get a refund for a lost package or a package that took a very long time to be delivered.
  • What does the “Import Customs Scan” status mean?

    If your package has received the “Import Customs Scan” status, there are three options:

  • If the package was originally sent from China and the LOCATION column shows a city in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, etc., it means the package was sent back to China from overseas. Typically, the package is sent back to the supplier and the recipient will receive it later if the supplier pays an additional shipping fee and sends the package again.
  • If the package was originally sent from China and the recipient's country is indicated in the LOCATION column, this means that the package has been delivered to the customs office of the destination country and will be delivered to the recipient after customs clearance.
  • If the parcel was not originally sent from China, and the LOCATION column indicates a city in China, for example, Beijing, Shanghai, etc., this means that the parcel was delivered to China, and will be delivered to the recipient after customs clearance.
  • What does the status “In Customs-Control warehouse” mean? How long will it take?

    The status “In Customs-Control warehouse” means that the parcel is in a customs warehouse awaiting inspection before export or airmail.

    What should I do if the status of my parcel does not change for a long time from the status “Export Security Scan”, “Export Customs Scan”?

    What does the status “Success find: 0 items!” mean? or “China Post has not received the parcel”?

    If you tracked the parcel by tracking number and the status of the parcel is “China post has not received the parcel” or “Success find: 0 items!” (“Result - 0 parcels”), this means that the seller (supplier) gave you a non-existent (invalid) tracking number, which is not assigned to any sent parcels in the China Post database.

    There may be several reasons:

  • The tracking number is incorrect.
  • Less than 48 hours have passed since the seller sent the goods, China Post has not yet updated the information about the parcels.
  • The seller has not shipped the items for some reason, such as “out of stock,” but plans to ship them later.
  • To understand what is being discussed in the three points above, you need to know how the parcel tracking system works by number:
    China Post can easily attach a label with a non-existent number to any package. The tracking number is invalid and the parcel cannot be tracked until China Post assigns the tracking number to it. Paypal, ebay and Aliexpress sometimes receive non-existent tracking numbers from many scammers who send these numbers to fill out payment information. Many marketplaces such as ebay or Aliexpress require the seller to ship the order within 24 hours of payment, so some sellers may provide a non-existent tracking number to avoid penalties. Later, when the seller restocks the goods, he uses the same tracking number to ship the goods, and using this number it will be possible to track the parcel on the website within 48 hours after the actual date of dispatch.

    What should I do if the status of my parcel is “Success find: 0 items!” or “China Post has not received the parcel”?

    • If you received the tracking number within 48 hours after shipment, you may need to wait two more days until the China Post database is updated.
    • If you received a tracking number more than two days ago, you may need to contact the seller and check with them for the real shipping date and real parcel number. Tell the seller that you want to track the package using the number on the website within 48 hours after shipment, otherwise you will file a claim. Typically, the seller provides a new tracking number, actual shipping date, or planned shipping date, which can be checked later on the website.
    • If the seller again gives you incorrect shipping information or doesn't respond at all, you should file a claim with ebay, Aliexpress or Paypal and ask for a refund. You can also leave negative feedback about the scammer after the refund.

    What does the “Export Security Scan” status mean? How long will it take?

    What does the “Export Customs Scan” status mean? How long will it take?

    “Export Customs Scan” means that the package is ready for customs inspection. Once the customs check is completed, the parcel will be sent by airmail.

    What does the status “Arrival at inward office of exchange” mean?

    “Arrival at inward office of exchange” means that the parcel has been delivered to the customs office of the destination country. Once customs clearance of a parcel received from abroad is completed, the parcel will be delivered to the recipient by the postal service of the destination country.

    What does the status “Departure from outward office of exchange” mean? How long will it take?

    “Departure from outward office of exchange” means that the parcel is ready for customs inspection. Once the inspection is completed, the parcel will be sent to airmail.

    What do the statuses “NULL”,”PEK NULL”,”PVG NULL”,”Opening” mean?

    Some users, after searching on other sites, see that the parcel status is “NULL”,”PEK NULL”,”PVG NULL” (“PVG NULL”) or “Opening” ) etc. In fact, these strange statuses are errors resulting from incorrect translation of the China Post database.

    How to file a claim and request a refund for an incorrect parcel number and a parcel that was not received?

    Many recipients whose parcels are delivered by China Post often ask the following questions:

  • The tracker site informs that the parcel was returned to the seller, but he does not confirm receipt of the return and refuses to return the money, how can I get the money back?
  • The tracker shows that the package was returned to the supplier, or displays the status “unsuccessful delivery”. How can I get a refund from China Post?
  • The parcel status has not changed for more than 40 days, I still have not received the parcel, can I contact the seller or China Post about a refund?
  • The answers to these questions are almost the same:
    China Post does not deal directly with the recipient. China Post accepts inquiries and claims only from the supplier who has an original receipt for acceptance of the goods for transportation.
    So, it is better for the recipient to use the mechanisms provided by ebay, aliexpress, paypal and file a claim for non-receipt of the parcel as quickly as possible.

    Once you have filed a claim, the seller must confirm that the package was successfully delivered to the buyer. If he/she cannot provide such confirmation, the money will be automatically returned to the buyer.

    How to file such a claim for non-receipt of a parcel?
    On ebay, paypal and aliexpress there is a link to a web page called a "dispute resolution center" or "claims center". You can file a claim for non-receipt of your parcel there. All detailed manuals can be found on the website:

    Is there a period when I can file a claim for non-receipt of a parcel?
    YES. On ebay and paypal you need to file a claim within 45 days of payment. On aliexpress this period is 60 days.

    What if I missed the claim deadline but still want a refund?
    If you missed the deadline for filing a claim, the only thing you can do is contact the seller. Large sellers with a lot of positive reviews are likely to offer an option that suits you in exchange for a positive review. This will increase sales in their store.

    What if I purchase items from a site that does not have a "claims center" and I did not pay through PayPal?
    Unfortunately, in this case it will not be easy for you to get your money back, often impossible. Therefore, we advise you to buy goods from Chinese sellers on large trading platforms such as ebay, Aliexpress, Amazon, DX, etc., with high level protection of buyers' rights.

    If you buy goods on little-known sites, try to pay for purchases through Paypal. NEVER use bank transfers, money transfer systems such as Moneygram or Western Union, electronic currencies such as bitcoin to pay for goods, even if you make purchases on well-known sites - ebay or Aliexpress, but from unfamiliar sellers.

    If a problem does occur and you paid for the purchase with a payment card, you can contact the bank and use the chargeback procedure. The procedure is described in the article:
