Analog of foam plastic - polyethylene film, which is also used in product packaging. Making snow from it is simple: you need to roll the film into a tight tube and then grate it on a fine grater.

The resulting air mass is mixed with glitter, potato starch (3-5 bags) and water. When the composition becomes homogeneous, it must be dried on a radiator.

Soap

Then it needs to be crushed and placed in a deep container. Now, little by little, you can start adding water and kneading the whole thing with your hands. Whether it turns out to be snow or not, it doesn’t even matter - what’s important is that this is another way to interest a child in sculpting. Because you can really sculpt from it, but not like from dough, plasticine or kinetic sand. This new experience for a child, a new interest and a new reason to fantasize.

And here is the recipe for the first version of snow:
Pack of starch + vegetable oil or baby oil.
The oil is gradually introduced into the starch and stirred. This “snow” sticks together well and crumbles back just as well. The child was captivated for a long time, he didn’t even need any additional devices or figures for modeling, he simply crushed it and sculpted balls, making a snow house in various variations.

As an experiment, try adding water to the starch instead of oil, the result will be different, but no less interesting, that’s what we did
The second snow option is more exotic:

To do this, you will need a pack of soda and shaving foam.
The process of creating snow itself is very unusual, because shaving foam had never fallen into the hands of a child before, and the squeezing process itself brought complete delight.
When the foam is squeezed out, you need to mix everything thoroughly, you may need to add more soda so that the mass turns out crumbly and does not stick to your hands, but at the same time, sticks together into balls.

This version of snow is very pleasant to the touch, cool and white, like real snow. The only negative for me is the strong aroma, although this did not bother the child. Svyatoslav again devotedly sculpted, connected his favorite penguins and built glaciers and slides for them.

Second version of snow, after use I stored it in the refrigerator in plastic bag. On outdoors it dries out and becomes crumbly, and you won’t be able to sculpt from it.
