Biryusa 152E, 152EP, 290E, 3140E, 310EP

The evaporator of the refrigerator compartment of the display case defrosts automatically. Moisture that condenses on the evaporator of the refrigeration compartment in the form of frost or frozen drops thaws when the compressor is turned off and flows through the drainage system into the melt water container, where it evaporates due to the heat generated by the compressor.

Biryusa 154E, 235

The evaporator of the refrigerator compartment of the display case defrosts automatically. The frost on the evaporator thaws when the compressor is turned off and the heater is turned on and flows through the drainage system into the melt water container, where it evaporates due to the heat generated by the compressor.

ATTENTION! For normal operation refrigeration chamber it is necessary to ensure that drainage hole was not clogged. If clogged, it must be cleaned using a drainage insert (the drainage insert is included in the set of operational documents, except for the Biryusa 235 display case).

Cleaning a commercial refrigerator

  • For reliable and long-term operation of the display case, it is necessary to systematically clean the display case both inside and outside.
  • To do this, disconnect the display case from the electrical network.
  • Wash the interior and exterior surfaces of the display case soap solution, rinse with clean water, wipe dry and ventilate for an hour with the door open.
  • Dust that accumulates on the condenser located on the back wall of the display case prevents normal operation display case and leads to an increase in energy consumption, so it is necessary to periodically (once every 6 months) clean the condenser from dust using a hair brush or vacuum cleaner.
  • To clean under the bottom shelf in the Biryusa 154E display case you need to:
    • remove the shelves above;
    • pull the pins out of the stops according to the picture;
    • remove the bottom shelf.
  • After cleaning the display case, put the shelves back in place.

Possible faults

If other malfunctions occur, contact the service center.

During operation, the display can be heard:

  • temperature sensor-relay clicks;
  • the sound of refrigerant circulating through the pipes of the refrigeration system;
  • light cracking due to thermal deformation of materials;

Before you start using the refrigerator, carefully read the rules for its installation, operation and maintenance given in this manual.

INSTRUCTIONS

Basic information

Automatic refrigerator "Biryusa", type KSh-160, designed for preserving perishable foods and preparing cubes edible ice, cooling drinks.

The internal volume of the refrigerating chamber is 160 dm3.

The refrigerator is made in the form of a rectangular cabinet covered with white enamel. Inside the cabinet there is a refrigerator compartment, in the upper part of which there is a freezing compartment, closed by a door.

The refrigerator compartment is equipped with shelves installed at different heights. A vessel for fruit is installed at the bottom of the chamber. The door panel contains compartments for storing eggs. butter, cheese.

For ease of use, the refrigerator compartment is illuminated by an electric light bulb, which automatically turns on when the refrigerator door is opened.

The use of plastics in the refrigerator design gives good appearance and ensures the necessary hygiene during its operation.

The refrigerator operates from an alternating current network for 50 periods of a rated voltage of 220 volts, with permissible fluctuations from 185 to 240 volts.

INSTALLING THE REFRIGERATOR

The refrigerator should not be installed near stoves, stoves, radiators or any other heat sources.

The distance between the wall of the room and the back wall of the refrigerator should be at least 5-6 cm, which promotes proper circulation of air cooling the condenser. refrigeration unit. The refrigerator must stand stable and level; to ensure this, the front supports of the refrigerator are made adjustable in height.

Before connecting the refrigerator to the network, you must make sure that the voltage* indicated on the plate on the back wall of the refrigerator corresponds to the network voltage. If the voltage does not match, you should purchase a step-down or step-up transformer with a power of 300 watts. It is recommended to use an autotransformer of type ASB-03 or AOSKH-03 for this purpose. The refrigerator should be turned on and off only with the thermostat knob. Therefore, before plugging the refrigerator into a power socket, the thermostat knob must be set to position “0” (off).

The refrigerator is turned on by turning the thermostat knob clockwise.

A new refrigerator must be washed before use. warm water, wipe dry and ventilate.

PLACING AND STORING FOOD IN THE REFRIGERATOR

Food products are placed on the shelves of the refrigerator compartment, in a vessel, on shelves interior panel doors and in the freezer. If necessary, the shelves of the refrigerator compartment can be rearranged in relation to the height of dishes or food packaging,

Products that have a strong odor or are easily susceptible to odors, fresh frozen and others should be stored in a closed container or wrapped in parchment, cellophane or plastic wrap.

MEAT AND FISH

Meat, poultry and fish are stored on the top shelf of the refrigerator. Once cut, it is best to place them under the freezer. These products can be stored for more than 2 weeks if stored in small portions I evaporate, having previously wrapped it in moisture-proof paper to protect it from drying out.

OIL, FATS AND CHEESE

Butter, fats and cheese should be stored in a compartment on the Avery panel or on the top shelf of the chamber in a tightly closed container or wrapped in parchment paper, as they quickly absorb any odor.

MILK, DIET PRODUCTS AND DRINKS

Bottles with milk, diet products and various drinks are placed on the shelves of the door panel; as well as on camera shelves. Raw milk should be stored in a carefully sealed container.

There are special nests on the door panel to place the eggs. When storing eggs for more than a week, they should be placed on the shelves of the chamber in a container that provides full ventilation. For long-term storage you need to select eggs with intact shells,

FRUITS, vegetables and berries

For storing fruits and vegetables, there is a special container at the bottom of the chamber, closed glass shelf. The glass should not be removed, as it helps maintain high humidity in the vessel, which is necessary to maintain the freshness of fruits and vegetables. Before placing them in a container, it is recommended to sort fruits and vegetables to remove spoiled ones, rinse and wipe.

FROZEN FOOD

Frozen foods and foods to be frozen are placed in the freezer evaporator located at the top of the cabinet, which is always maintained subzero temperature. Products placed in the freezer must be wrapped in cellophane, parchment or placed in cardboard box to avoid freezing to the evaporator wall. It is recommended to store food in the freezer in small portions.

When removing food from the freezer if it freezes, do not use any sharp or hard objects on the walls to avoid damaging the walls of the freezer channels. Thawed products are not recommended to be re-frozen, as this impairs their taste.

PREPARING ICE CUBES

Ice cubes are prepared in lattice trays located in the freezer. The bath is filled with water to a level of 3-4 mm below the edge and installed in the freezer (evaporator). The thermostat knob is set to scale mark “6”. Ice forms in this mode in no more than 2.5-3 hours. Ice cubes are released from the tray by bending the tray in different directions. It is recommended to remove ice cubes 4-5 minutes after removing the tray from the refrigerator.

SELECTING THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE CONDITION

Depending on the ambient temperature, the thermostat knob is set in the chamber to determine the specified temperature regime required to preserve the cue of certain products.

At normal room temperature (18-22°C) and an average load of food in the refrigerator, the thermostat knob should be set to position “3”. which corresponds to normal operation.

This position of the handle will provide the temperature in the cabinet necessary to preserve food without freezing.

At low room temperatures or when the refrigerator is lightly loaded with food, the thermostat knob should be set closer to the “O” mark.

At elevated temperature room and when the refrigerator is heavily loaded with food, the thermostat knob should be turned closer to division “6” (cold). By setting the thermostat knob to division “6”, a lower temperature is ensured in the chamber.

It should be remembered that excessive cooling of products leads to loss of quality of some products and unnecessary energy consumption.

To avoid unnecessary energy consumption and to maintain a more stable temperature in the chamber, it is necessary to observe following rules:

2. Excessive fouling of the evaporator surface - a “snow coat” – should not be allowed.

3. The refrigerator door should always be tightly closed. It should be opened as rarely as possible and for a short time.

4. You should not cover the shelves with anything.

REMOVAL OF “SNOW COAT” FROM THE EVAPORATOR SURFACE

During operation of the refrigerator, moisture in the form of snow is deposited on the surface of the evaporator. This is the so-called “snow coat”. The formation of a “snow coat” impairs the removal of heat from the air in the refrigerator compartment, so the evaporator should be thawed regularly 2-3 times a month when cleaning the refrigerator. To do this, turn the thermostat knob to turn off the refrigerator, remove the plug from the socket, empty the refrigerator of food, insert the ice mold into the hole in the tray and place the latter under the evaporator.

To reduce the defrosting time, you can place a vessel with hot water. After the “snow coat” has thawed, pour out the water collected in the tray, wipe the evaporator and tray dry.

It is not allowed to remove the “snow coat” using any sharp or hard objects, as this can damage the evaporator.

CARING FOR THE REFRIGERATOR

During operation, systematic maintenance of the refrigerator is necessary. It is recommended to observe the following rules:

1. The refrigerator is cleaned every 2-3 weeks. It is recommended to time the cleaning of the refrigerator to coincide with the removal of the “snow coat” from the walls of the freezer.

2. Before cleaning, the refrigerator must be unplugged. To do this, set the thermostat knob to position “O” and remove the plug from the power socket.

3. Wash the outer and inner surfaces of the cabinet and door with clean, warm, slightly soapy water.

4. When flushing the refrigerator, do not allow water to accumulate at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment, as well as water to flow past the bottom of the cabinet door seal.

5. The washed refrigerator must be wiped dry with a soft cloth or flannel. Chrome parts should be wiped with a cloth. Do not use any powders to clean the refrigerator.

6. After cleaning, the refrigerator compartment must be ventilated for 30-40 minutes.

7. Do not place acids, volatile flammable liquids or substances with a strong odor in the refrigerator.

8. When you turn off the refrigerator for long time It is recommended to keep the cabinet door slightly open to avoid the appearance of odors in the refrigerator compartment,

9. Transportation of the refrigerator is permitted only in a vertical position. When transporting the refrigerator, it is necessary to place a rigid lining (plank, block) under the compressor to prevent the compressor from rocking on the springs.

10. It is prohibited to remove the protective cap of the fitting on the roof of the compressor casing, and also to break the sealing of the relay and thermostat adjusting screws.

II. If any malfunctions are detected in the refrigerator, they should be repaired by special mechanics for repairing home refrigerators. The addresses and telephone numbers of service organizations are indicated by the trading organization in the warranty card.

The numbers under the product symbols indicate the storage time of the product in a frozen state (in months) without deterioration in taste.

6. PREPARING THE FREEZER FOR OPERATION

6.1. Unpack the freezer, place it on the back wall and remove it from the wooden shipping bottom by unscrewing the two fastening bolts. Screw the adjusting supports included in the package into the threaded holes and use them to adjust the stable position of the freezer on the floor, while the upper plane of the freezer should be in a horizontal position.

6.2. Before using the freezer, wash it with warm soapy water inside and out, wipe dry and ventilate for an hour with the doors open.

ATTENTION!

Before installing the freezer, make sure that the thermostat axis is in the correct position, pos. 3 (Fig. 3) relative to the marks on the casing pos. 2.

The plane of the flat on the axis must coincide with the marks on the casing.

Deviations are eliminated by turning the axis in one direction or another.

NOTE. When the thermostat axis is turned clockwise, the temperature in the freezer decreases; when the axis is turned in the opposite direction, the temperature in the freezer increases.

6.3. Install the freezer away from heat sources and in a place inaccessible to direct sunlight.

6.4. If the freezer was in the cold, then before connecting it to the network, it is necessary to keep the freezer with the door open at room temperature for at least 8 hours,

PLUGING INTO THE MAINS OF AN UNHEATED FREEZER MAY LEAD TO COMPRESSOR JAMMING AND FAILURE OF THE FREEZER

6.5. If necessary, the freezer door can be re-hung to the opposite opening.

Re-hanging is carried out by a mechanic from the Rembyttekhnika association for a fee, which is determined by the price list approved by the executive committees of the regional or regional Councils of People's Deputies.

7. OPERATION PROCEDURE

7.1. Putting the freezer into operation.

7.1.1. The freezer is activated by the unit plug into the electrical outlet.

7.1.2. When turned on, the green and red lights built into the edge of the table light up.

The green light indicates that voltage is supplied to the freezer and is constantly on.

When the red light comes on, it indicates an increase in the temperature in the freezer; when the temperature drops, the red light goes off.

A slight glow of the red light after it is turned off is not a defective sign.

7.1.3. When you set the switch to the “freeze” position, the orange light in it lights up, the freezer operates continuously and develops the lowest possible temperature.

When the switch is set to the “storage” position, the orange light goes out and the freezer cycles.

7.2. Freezing food.

7.2.1. The right process freezing preserves the quality of products. When freezing, use clean, fresh food.

7.2.2. Set the operating mode switch to the “freezing” position. Place the food 12 hours after turning on the freezer and after (1-2) hours if the freezer was in “storage” mode.

7.2.3. Food intended to be frozen must be placed on the top shelf of the evaporator (freezer compartment with door).

If placed evenly and in an amount of no more than 9 kg, the products will cool to the required temperature (minus 18 ° C) in no more than 24 hours of operation of the freezer.

NOTE. In Fig. 1 arrows show methods for opening and removing (if necessary) the freezer compartment door.

7.2.5. When freezing the next batch, transfer the frozen foods to any of the containers below.

7.2.6. Approximately 24 hours after the freezer was last loaded with food, set the switch to “storage” mode. It must be remembered that as the load increases, the freezing time also increases.

7.2.7. Divide food intended for freezing into small portions before storing. This will speed up the freezing process and is convenient to use.

7 2.9. Pack products in plastic bags, aluminum foil and other similar packaging materials.

Wrap food tightly so that as little air as possible remains in the package.

Operating manual for household freezer МШ-120 "Biryusa-14". The good old Soviet freezer, for some grandmothers it continues to work properly, because they used to make quality things. Although the quality control department employees received bribes, they controlled the quality! What has changed? Either now they simply don’t make high-quality things, or they’ve lowered the quality bar, saying that everywhere is still full of cheap Chinese crap, and if you do it well, it will be expensive and no one will buy it.

Even then, they tried to make freezers more comfortable to use by making it possible to re-hing the door to the opposite opening, signaling operating modes and adjusting the door opening angle limitation. Biryusa is a silver freezer! The contacts of the start-up relay and the temperature relay sensor contain only about 2 grams of silver. If you sell the household freezer МШ-120 "Biryusa-14" for scrap metal, you will get approximately 4 kg of aluminum. Can the Chinese afford this?

The freezer is manufactured without a ground wire, so please follow the instructions carefully. instructions for use. Do not turn on the refrigerator if the power cord or plug is damaged. If you feel a tingling sensation when touching the freezer, immediately unplug the plug from the socket and contact a technician to repair the problem. Do not use the freezer in areas with high humidity or conductive floors. The household freezer MSh-120 "Biryusa-14" is made in a convenient floor view bedside tables, which will simplify its use in the household. The internal volume is divided into compartments.

°°What makes me happy about the old instructions for use books must have been principled electrical circuits. After you have brought it from the store, the freezer should be prepared for successful operation, namely, you need to unscrew the shipping bolts and screw the adjusting screws in their place, which is described in detail in the user manual. It is recommended to place the freezer away from heat sources and direct exposure to sunlight. Although this household appliance and is a freezer and is designed to generate cold during transportation to winter time years, before turning it on, it should be kept at room temperature with the door open for at least 8 hours. If this is not done, then when you turn on a cold freezer, the compressor may jam.

Yes, it turns out the text is significantly different modern instructions user from old instruction manuals. This is what is written in this old book on using a freezer: “Re-hanging is carried out by a mechanic from the Rembyttekhnika association for a fee.” What a cute photoloid!

There are three lights on the case: green, indicating that the freezer is turned on, and red, indicating an increase in the temperature in the refrigerator compartment; orange lights up when the freezer is switched to maximum freezing mode. After 24 hours of operation at maximum freezing, it is recommended to switch the controller to “storage” mode.

If your electricity is turned off, it is recommended not to open the door of the household freezer МШ-120 "Biryusa-14", the cold will not escape and the heat will not get inside. Not long time without work there is no problem for the food, they will not have time to melt. Do not allow excessive ice build-up on the evaporators; to do this, put out all the food and defrost the freezer. If this is not done, then energy consumption will increase and at the same time the cooling effect will decrease, such a paradox. Thawing will proceed faster if you put several dishes with hot water in the refrigerator and close the door of the household freezer МШ-120 "Biryusa-14". Do not try to remove the ice that has formed on the evaporator with metal objects, otherwise you will make a hole in the evaporator and the freezer! If the freezer makes rattling sounds when operating, the reason may be incorrect installation(not level) or where the tubes touch the body of the refrigerator.
In stagnant times, this freezer was given a 3-year warranty! If the freezer broke down, it could be replaced with a new one within these three years. As I wrote above, there are probably several such models that continue to work to this day.

Refrigeration equipment under the Biryusa brand has been produced at OJSC Krasnoyarsk Plant since 1963. This enterprise did not disappear into oblivion along with the ruins of the USSR, but continues to work properly. Just 9 years after its launch, the company offered users about 35 models of refrigerators. Even in the 90s, when most enterprises could not withstand the collapse of the USSR, the plant in Krasnoyarsk worked and the team received awards for their work. The secret of success is proper organization production, that is, the enterprise tries not to depend on suppliers, this is called vertical integration.

In 1997, management decided to buy equipment for the production of compressors from the Japanese, which was the right decision. As a result, the company not only recouped its expenses, but also began to make a profit from sales. Think for yourself, a Soviet refrigerator with Japanese filling, that is, cheap and cheerful (high quality). The plant now not only provides itself with compressors made on Japanese equipment, but also sells them to other enterprises.

Today, the Biryusa plant produces refrigeration equipment not only for homes, but also for offices, taking into account the specifics of operation. Most of the materials are imported, only 15% are domestic, but even this part is made using equipment from Korea, Italy, Germany and, of course, Japan. In terms of production volume in Russia, this enterprise is in 2nd place.
